My statement was just that you might think this is a revolutionary idea when this same source has been regurgitated many times on HF in lots of terrible forms. This one to no surprise isn't any different than the others that have been posted years before yours.

"Educational" does not mean what you think it means. Real malware is also educational. You have claimed throughout this whole thread that this was a keylogger.

Keylogger is a software that logs keystrokes. This was even posted in C# subforum for a reason.

You did still post it here - I'm not sure of how aware you are on how many other times a GetAsyncKeyState() keylogger has been posted before... But your code is not overly great either to begin with.

Yes, and your method is unoriginal and inefficient. Your defense against the GetAsyncKeyState() function being FUD as well just goes to show the lack of knowledge on the subject. It is a documented API, why in any case would it be considered stealthy? You also have to run this in a loop making successive calls to it which is not only inefficient but potentially inaccurate.

If you want people to learn - your source is not the best material to learn from is all I'm saying... The code and the method you're using is not very useful in today's world.

The only thing you have seemingly and unknowingly done, is potentially gave people that don't have a clue some terrible code to copy and paste as skids. You're missing the point here and getting childish about it. I would expect more though if you were really an adult. If people wanted to learn how to create a "keylogger" using GetAsyncKeyState() that example already exists hundreds of times here. My other point is that this really isn't very educational for people learning to create keyloggers, this really should be educational for you on how not to make a keylogger -- and while you are at it, you could probably learn some C# advice in the process.

#1 being the using statement on IDisposable objects.

You found a post of mine 7 years ago, but even there I claimed it was of no practical use which is something you haven't done here, so no it does not apply to me still. I did not claim that the script had any "educational" benefit like you, but in addition to finding a post of mine from 7 years back and failing to justify your side here, you have also proven to lack basic math skills. 2017 - 2010 != 1 year.

I'm not comparing ages, you're doing that on your own by responding to my posts the way you've done.

I will re-clarify then if my previous posts weren't clear enough:

- This is not a new method
- This code and your method are not great for "educational" purposes

You should have taken that as an opportunity to learn, but instead you would rather try to find someone else at fault by trying to dig through 7 year old posts of mine that still don't really prove your point. I could have given my advice, but until you learn to mature and conduct a debate in a more civilized manner, it will take way too long to get to that point of resolution to where you can take anything from a discussion to further your own self.

1 year as you claimed previously was actually 7 years if you look at the date. And even 7 years is quite a stretch...
