Its just a backwards approach..
Most forums with large marketplaces Ive seen are pay to edit regardless of the date, which makes sense
since each thread is validated for a product/service by an admin, so editing should not be possible otherwise.
Thats not the case on HF, and the inability to edit a thread based on the original post date rather than the last edit does exactly as I said,
penalises older threads/members. Unless a verification system is introduced (where the staff/admin gets a vouch copy),
then this should be disabled in the marketplace IMO.

Went to update with Black Friday specials, so thats not an option unless its public by Friday (but it doesn't seem a priority anyway).

What about people who make tutorials out of marketplace?

Just "don't be a baby" 😖

Lol yeah right. Will not be a baby. Xadamxk you get that?

Well that's a better argument, but you could simply repost it as a revision. That however is not of great benefit to SEO, so again not a bad argument for there being exceptions.
Still, that effects such a small %.
ouch that must have been abused a lot! good find omni! keep up the great work

We are a paid-to-edit forum. You can buy a Sales Tag $20 for a month which gives you edit ability no matter the dates. Tags are never sold out too so there is no excuse.

I thought you simply ran out of knowledge?

Easy as that?
I agree with this.

Stickies are also immune to edit limits.

I guess that’s better than nothing!
From the Help Docs:
Quote:If the edited post is the first post of a sticky (paid or free) it has unlimited edits.

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.
Peace out!
