How well can you see?

That is correct. It depends on a lot of factors. Mine is roughly $4000, which includes a number of follow up appointments, prescription steroid drops, artificial tears, etc. Realistically, it's the price of 10 years worth of eye exams + contacts. So as long as it lasts 10 years, I come out ahead.

Maybe you should stick with contacts.
My vision has always been superior, maybe it has deteriorated a bit since my childhood but, not much.

I have indeed heard all about it and all of the risks. My procedure is different from hers although does indeed carry similar risks.
Im pretty sure I am still 20/20 vision without anything added.

The best way to laser your eyes is with TransPRK. It is not painful and your eyes heal much faster. Lasering your eyes with Lasik is not good. Your cornea will never heal.

Your cornea does heal, just in a reshaped manner. PRK is not always better than lasik. It is different. It is better for some people, typically those with worse vision to begin with. Any decent center does PRK, Lasik, and several other refractive surgery types. Doctors pick the best one based on your eye mappings.
Considering I spend about 6-8 hours in front of a screen a day, and still dont need glasses i find myself very lucky. I cant remeber what my last eye test results were sadly.

Considering I was gaming 24/7 since 8th grade I'm seeing completely normal.

Your cornea flap can get loose if you get hit by something. My cornea is 100% healed. In my opinion they should forbid Lasik. The only good Lasik method is EPI-Lasik because it is almost the same as PRK. They remove a small part of your cornea then it will grow back.

Get Lasik. It works great. Wife got it. Works wonders. But ask if you'll need to get adjusted again and when. It could be 5,10, or 20 years but most Lasik needs touch up but you will definitely be happy with results.
I can see perfectly without glasses but I have some for being mildly farsighted. I get migraines so the glasses are pretty much just a tool to help when I start getting one.

I am getting it done less than 24 hours from now. I've been out of contacts for a few weeks and will be more than ready to see again. A few of my family members have had it done as well. All excellent results. If I do end up having to get a touch up done later, it's "free"/included in original price as long as I use the same laser tech that exists now.

Assuming all goes well, I'll be seeing better than I am right now by tomorrow night.

I highly recommend you use other techniques like TransPRK and EPI-Lasik. Once your cornea is cut then it will never 100% heal.

I'm going to trust doctors and the FDA over your own opinion. Yes injuries to your eyes are possible, especially when getting tackled by a 200lb+ NFL player, but the technology used now is significantly different from what was used nearly a decade ago.
I have horrible eyesight. I'm nearsighted, I've got astigmatism, and I go to the eye doctor in March for a screening of glaucoma. I would love to get a new pair of eyes.
A lot of close family got the surgery done and everything went well.. however- I see well, as far as in right now. I don’t wear glasses.

how much time it took the laser?
example around half hour?
20/20. Idk why but my vision stayed good thru puberty.
