It does. We can look into clearing those out but the total volume will likely still be in the XXX,XXX,XXX range.

Cool, I like it but it still doesn't make sense seeing that most replied threads are always the same ones with 3k+ posts, created years ago.

I don't even remember if we have a limit to 2k posts, then threads will automatically close, or it was removed.
