Cash only in person or crypto. Saves me from situations like this, and large amounts of cash bring your own to check if the bills are real. A wad of 100s feel real till you feel one real 100.

I had to speak with a bank manager and they said the e-transfer was FAKE. I said how the f can an e-transfer be fake, I thought your systems were secure?
They said it was a fraudulent e-transfer, and that I'M RESPONSIBLE since I accepted a fraudulent e-transfer. So now I basically can only deposit small amounts into my account, ridiculous.
They treated me as if I was the f-ster, when I was the victim.
It hurts bad when you being the victim and gets snubbed back.
Damn dude, that fucking sucks. Sorry to hear that man, I'd definitely look for a new bank.

Still fkn annoying I could've gave that to someone in need.
What did you do that was so sketchy? I'm not fond of the police, but if this happened to me I'd sure as hell file a police report because it's worth doing whatever you can to quell the plague that is financial fraud. Like you said, could've given it to someone in need... well now you have the opportunity to hopefully catalyze an investigation into this individual before they target someone else in need.
Sounds like a certain Canadian bank that is famously ass
damn man, that sucks. You could always try and file a police report with the local pd you sent the mac book to.
These type of items go in my high risk list. It's always safer to sell them in person to someone you've done your research into. Even then I have a friend for backup parked near them that they don't know about. I wish we could trust one another. Sorry for your loss.
Damn. Like everyone else said. Use cash or crypto next time. Sorry to hear, that's rough.
If it's any consolation, I've had far more than that stolen from me in my lifetime.

I don't believe any network is secure it is only a matter of time to get the loophole, As most users said you need to do your dealings in cash or crypto.

Nice one ✌
@op change your bank asap. Don't say you don't care for money. You steal $1 from me i'd be mad as hell
Step 1 - move over to a different bank
Step 2 - file a report to the police
Step 3 - I'm fairly sure that the bank has some higher ups that don't like bad press so go to the media
Step 4 - get your money and possibly some compensation

I hate it when people get scammed

This is what happens when you use Interac E-Transfer with anyone.
You should do ID verification before accepting the payment. The transfer should come from the same name on the card if else don't accept it.
That's why I hate Interac. A lot of F-sters use this method.
