I thought the higher fee ones get preference

On blockchain i have seen the fees go up. This is really bad. I wonder what will happen to the price.

I would think so, but seeing as Omni had to wait 48 hours for an $1100 transaction to complete, I can't say for sure. Higher fee precedence should be paired with transaction age.

lmao it's happening again
It's just gonna be a monthly thing from now on.
Quote:Maybe inform people when paying for stickies and so forth to increase the fee that they are paying
Actually did that just last week which I thought was a good idea, now it appears brilliant. Also I give notification via PM when a payment cancels due to timeout. I plan on redoing the entire payment system to use the Coinpayments API and then do an even better job of giving members details without ever leaving HF.

Actually these issues have just pushed BTC price higher.

Except that Bitcoin Core group isn't working fast enough to solve this problem. We want Bitcoin to take over the world but it can't happen if payments take 2 days to confirm. It becomes completely unfunctional at this level. And this isn't an attack either, most are placing this at the feet of India.
Quote:My $200 transaction took 9 hours to get 1 confirmation yesterday.
Small transactions normally have small fees. But as you scale to higher payments normally you don't have to scale to high fees. Unfortunately if you want to send $1000 right now you may need to pay $2-$5 worth of fees where normally you can do 25 cents.
Also at issue is that network is fine. Then you go make payment and only then you do realize the network is screwed. By then it's too late to up the fee.
Quote:People are using .30+ for the fee and getting confirmations in about 10 minutes.
That's probably on $20 payments. Try that with $200.
Miners are making a fortune right now just on fees.

Maybe not Bitcoin itself but there will be a perfect crypto one day. Remember when Hotbot and Yahoo were the best search engines? And Geocities was the most amazing free online web host?

Which is why Bitcoin Core needs to do something. Honestly feel that ETH is the future.
I feel like Bitcoin is always having its hiccups and hope one of these don't effect me to badly in the future.

A lot of my other transactions are also having huge delays and problems. Members paying for stickies and upgrades are timing out at Coinpayments repeatedly and even worse they are experiencing issues getting a refund because their payments aren't confirmed yet.
This is just very disruptive to anyone who uses Bitcoin frequently. Any business right now running off BTC is dealing with a disaster and even worse is that Black Friday is tomorrow.
This is ruining my Thanksgiving mood too.
Anyone else ticked off?
Raise TX fees and get confirmed within a few minutes at most. First block priority or no priority 😕

It is a really good idea. I have been testing it for the past 72~ hours or so and it has worked out great. Normally when I was buying a sticky, it was taking 30-60 mins to confirm or would sometimes bounce back. I increased the fee yesterday by an additional .50 cents and it was confirmed instantly upon sending. That will work for lower amounts $100< but for larger amounts, it will still take a little bit of time. However, it will not sit for hours. Again, increasing the miner's fee is the key to the puzzle for the time being.
I am waiting to see what happens to the network tomorrow and Cyber Monday. 🤨
retired...
BTC get those problems a lot in nowdays.
I don't know why, but it happeneds a lot now..
Tomorrow it gonna be so crazy lol.

yes omni still pissed as cannot send u btc for sticky
Haven't exchanged any BTC in the past couple of hours/recently, good luck with the transactions coming through though, that sucks. Enjoy your "thanksgiving" as well.
Doesn't really matter to me, I'm waiting on a 1 BTC buy but it'll come through whenever it comes through.
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.
