EDIT: Wow, that was what I figured out looking at someone's profile and then applied to my own and it was true. Didn't work applying to other people's though..

I just saw 2 ppl with almost identical stats. One had 3 rep, other had -5. -5 guy had 1 prestige, +3 rep guy had 0. This is confusing.

Doubt it. The mods do a great job of cleaning out the LQ posts.
And, you can still gain prestige by posting, so I think people will continue to do that.

I think this change will be giving credit to the people that take the time to make a thread with engagement.
