How would I approach cooking 7 steaks?

(Dec 29, 2020 06:54 AM)DizzyPope Wrote:  As the title says I need to cook 7 steaks "at the same time" for new years eve.

I do not have a grill available nor an oven, as the oven is used for baked potatoes at a high temperature.

I really need some ideas, any suggestions? I'm starting to think this isnt possible at all, without ruining some of the steaks.

I'm also not the greatest cook but I originally only signed up for cooking 2 steaks..

Any tips are appreciated, thanks!

Bro the great thing about baked potatoes is that they stay warm in the foil.

Do as following:

-Clean Potato
-Oil & Salt Potato
Fork Potato (Poke Holes)
Wrap with aluminum foil (Shiny out)

375 1-1:30

While Baked Potato is in, you do the fixing for potato. (Bacon if not store-bought)

Season, salt, pepper your 7 steaks.

Get ready in BAKING DISHES ( DEEP PAN or PYREX)

Let steaks sit at room temp for the whole hour.

After the timer is off for potato, turn oven to BROIL 450.

Broil 1:30 -2:00 on each side depending on how strong oven is.

After flipped both sides, go to original side take a spoon scoop juices on top of steaks.

Depending on size of steak, I usually cooked medium sized ones like 8 oz probably 8-12 minutes on regular bake at 400.

Even after this 20 minute period of cooking the steaks, your potato should still be on fire! Throw them in another deep pan with foil if you are really concerned. Could throw them in for 3 minutes if you are really concerned after the steaks are done since it is your first time

A nicely cooked steak does not need to be hot, in fact, you should even let it rest for 5 minutes to let the fiber relax.

I worked in a GRILL for some time & this is the best idea for you,
Pans for pan-searing are stainless ones or cast-iron on high temperatures.
Hey thanks for all the help guys, it went okay, a little overcooked to my taste but it was delicious anyway
