Adding to Fix the API endpoints for USERS and maybe ME. They seemingly don't work and that's gonna be a lot of time to fix because I have to familiarize myself with all the code (built by Xerotic). Looking at it, needs a ton of debugging code added so that troubleshooting can be accurately done.

Tons of work on that but the good part of touching the API is that once I get more familiar I can expand it with some new endpoints.

Seen too often someone goes into Dispute they Vacation Ban. I don't think it changes much because if people leave they leave but they shouldn't get to self-ban in that circumstance.

Good to see this being implemented. Unfortunately that is the sad state of business on the internet. Not everyone has morale. I've seen users spend months and even years building up a reputation to end up scamming.

Great update there. There's definitely been some instances where some members do this. Can't "run" from the dispute.

https://hackforums.com landing page done. I still want to improve it but I wanted something quick and dirty to get it started. Had some issues with the VPS it's running on. Seems like it's broken and I'll need to rebuild it. Likely gonna get rid of this VPS and move to another provider. Paying $20 a month for this one. I can do better. Saving $10 a month may not seem like a lot but it's basically 4-6 hours of work and over the course of 5 years (or more) I'll end up saving $600. So half-day work puts $600 in my pocket long-term. Not to mention the upgrade to better specs, rebuild system to updated scripts, and secure the server to latest standards.



EDIT: Oh also found email bug that got fixed last night. Not on the roadmap but was still 3 hours of unexpected work that has improved HF's backend.

Completed the moving of some backend services from one VPS provider to another. Saved about $100 annually with about 5 hours of work. Still checking if all the adjustments are working but it should be fine. The VPS does some API work with our email provider. It's a "buffer" for security and logging. Probably an unnecessary security option if I'm being realistic but so far my paranoia has served me well in being prepared against attacks and vulnerabilities.

Wasn't on the Roadmap because this is one of those backend items which aren't listed. I have many of those. It's important that the backend of HF is updated and secured.

btw, the old VPS was online since 2013.
