What, if any, wiki's have you worked on?
I worked in wiki's at school many times, i get great scores in most of my essays for school projects. Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team? I would like to join the Wiki team because i think it's very HQ with very smart and well educated members. Example Article Written here in code. Code HackForums is a forum filled with many people around the world. Hackforums or others may call it "HF" was made in 2007.
What, if any, wiki's have you worked on? I've written many articles for various things such as school, projects, blogs, and websites. I'm sure by joining HF Wiki team will expand my knowledge greatly which will help me with many skills.
Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team? I personally want to join the HF Wiki team because I want to expand my writing skills and many other things. I am sure I can accomplish this by getting accepted into the HF Wiki team, thanks for allowing me to apply. Example Article : Quote:Omniscient is mostly known for creating and owning the forum, known as Hack Forums. Although this isn't his first forum in his career, it is his most successful forums. The long journey started almost fifteen years ago, when Omniscient first started looking into forums and how they worked. In the year 2007, Omniscient started various forums such as Hack Forums, Support Forums, and MyBB Central. Support Forums was created to help users of the internet with different problems such as coding, webmaster, and computer support. As this took off, Omniscient had extra domains that he had purchased so he decided that he would do something extraordinary with the domain, HackForums.net. As creating a hacker feel for the site, this brought a lot of attention to the site from all around the world. Omniscient saw the growth and the potential of Hack Forums which sparked a motivation movement for Omniscient. Many things are coming to Hack Forums but it all started very slow for the site with spammers, site errors, and other related things. Late in the year 2009, the ultimate package came to Hack Forums as we all know it, the uber upgrade. This brought a whole new feel to the users, users could actually feel they were part of the community by having a higher power than others and being able to leave reputation reviews to certain users. In the year 2010, many improvements came to Hack Forums. These consisted of server updates, more awards, and a stronger community. As the community grew and the site became more secure this brought many users to the site. This would inspire Omniscient to improve the forums even more with awards, usergroups, etc. Into the interesting part of 2012, Omniscient started to get into Minecraft and created an amazing Minecraft server called HackerCraft. This illuminated players of Minecraft that Hack Forums wasn't just a forum for hackers of the internet, many users of Hack Forums actually were interested in playing the server so this started a whole new era for Hack Forums. HackerCraft opened a friendly community to both HackerCraft which gave the server a bit of attention. As that is it for the great forums of Hack Forums for now, many more things are to come.Sorry if any information is inaccurate but I didn't have a timeline or article to go off of. Thanks for letting me submit an application and have a pleasant day!
Is there any way to prove your self, worthy of applying without being UB3R? I honestly think there should be. Or some can be accepted for the chance, they just have to put extra effort into the application if they are hand picked, from a group of L33TS, that will be allowed a chance for this opportunity. I am not complaining, I just feel unsatisfied with that choice. I would love to be able to apply knowing I have a chance, but just because I don't belong to a group, I am excluded. I will apply for UB3R once I hit 1k posts. I just think, you shouldn't allow or dis allow people to apply or not ,because of that. I mean, I have upgraded 2 members, isn't that good enough? All UB3R is, is an extra 20$ to donate to my man Omni, I'm with it. Its just not fair. I just wish that maybe, you could understand where I'm coming from. I know some regular members that are 10 times more HQ than some of the upgraded members, I see around the forum. I don't know why I'm even trying. I just have a glimpse of hope that maybe, some people can be allowed a chance to take part in this, even though they are missing out on one of the requirements. I know I can do the work that the group would ask of me. If I am UB3R or not, shouldn't matter. I can do just as a good of job. Donating another 20$ isn't going to make me better at writing or doing whatever the team would ask of me.
Writing, and reading is a passion of mine, and it would be amazing to be able to do it on my favorite website. It just bums me out that, just because I don't have an UB3R user bar, I have to miss out on this opportunity. Sorry if this was irrelevant, I just wanted to express my feelings. What would win in a fight a giraffe or a matterdaddy?

The group is his, not mine. We do official HF work, therefor I cannot dictate the primary means of requirement when Omni himself is the one whom set it. Sorry. -Viral. My HF addresses only.:

And knowing that 20$ is all that separates me, from doing that on my favorite website. Is quite the in-dignity. I know I could do just as good, as and "UB3R". Frankly I just think its fucking bullshit, that just because I'm not in a 20$ group, I have to miss out on something that I would really enjoy. Sure there are assignments, I can do them just as good as an UB3R can and could. Not to boast but probably better. As writing is one of my biggest passions in life. But thanks for caring if you do. I'm sure Omni couldn't give a shit about some random members feelings on this. The rule is probably set in stone, and he won't ever make any exceptions. I wish it could happen that way, believe me, I would be so happy if he allowed a couple l33ts to apply for the group. But then again, I remember I just one of the millions of people on this site, trying to make a change that isn't possible. I probably also sound like a cry baby, but I don't care. It actually saddens me, when I think about this. For Omni, If I'm lucky enough to have you reading this, please try to understand where I'm coming from. I'm sure you can. I'm sure you can; from following you on twitter and watching your YouTube videos, you seem like a nice guy. All I'm asking is to give some people a chance for this. And hell, give me a chance, if you did I wouldn't let you down. I would be on top of every assignment I could possibly be assigned. I just think that maybe with all of the site changes, that maybe you can let this fly a little bit, have some le-way and just think about wht I'm saying, and consider me, being in this group. What's the worst that can happen? Nothing can go wrong just because you allowed one rule of yours to be bent one time. I guarantee you I would be one of the best out of the amazing group you have assembled. You probably won't even see this, but that's fine. To the rest of you, I'm not bitching or ranting. I'm just trying to inform the majority of you, about my opinion. And I know none of you, "give a fuck". But I don't care. I'm just trying to prove a valid point. Maybe even make a change, or make HF history. But tata for tonight. What would win in a fight a giraffe or a matterdaddy?

To get higher benefits and to be "qualified" fo other things such as a spot within this group (and previous Reviewers), you have to be an Ub3r. So it encourages you to go spend that $20 (or get into a member contest). -Viral. My HF addresses only.:

It actually saddens me, when I think about this. Omni actually has very little to do with how we run. He sets the rules, we follow them. No exceptions. I do give a fuck though, because I know there are good writers out there, but honestly, as one of the editors of the Wiki team, I would be incredibly hard on you, as I am with all of the skilled writers we have. I wouldn't want you bowing out because you think you deserve any special treatment. We don't control the standards and Omni has the discretion to change them; however with everything he does, he probably doesn't have the time to make an exception for ONE L33t member. Because when you have to do it for one, you have to do it for all, that's just how it works :/ What you can do is leave with grace and come back if/when you upgrade. Don't let this tirade ruin your image for any future application. Also, as a writer for the past 11, almost 12 years, it really irks me when I see people talking about how they can "probably be better" than the writers we've chosen. With that kind of attitude, I would probably just ride you harder, either until you prove it to me that you've got the skills you're bragging about or until you break. I am a very tough editor. Have some grace, friend, and apply whenever you can meet the requirements. It's like bitching to an employer about how they won't take your application because you don't have X experience or X degree. Very rarely are the employers allowed to make an exception, when there is work to be done. And frankly, the Wiki team is a lot of work. ![]() There is only one god: Death. And what do we say to Death? "Not Today."

What, if any, wiki's have you worked on? I worked on several wikis before. Both for Minecraft servers and I got paid to do them. The money was included in the entire package for setting up the server, website, wiki and forums. I have been doing articles and other things for money in the past, as well. I used MediaWiki for these. If you use Wikia it won't be a problem to adjust. Here is an example of something I wrote well on the forums. It is the recruitment thread for Instinct on HC: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3803080
Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team? I believe I can become a skilled writer in the HF Wiki team. I have a wide understanding of the English language and my spelling and grammar are quite good. I would represent the HF Writ3rs in and around HF in a positive manner. I will complete articles in due time and do above of what is expected of me. As well as benefiting the wiki I truly believe that I will be able to learn more about the English language and develop my skills in this. I mainly believe I would be fitting of this role because of four qualities I possess. I'm punctual, mature, knowledgeable and hardworking. Punctual As I have already mentioned, all tasks will be completed to the best of my ability and on time. I will try my best to do more articles than what is expected of me. I will be there for any group discussions and will get opinions from other members if necessary. I won't slack on my work and hand in any rubbish or uncompleted articles. If any meetings exist or any type of briefing I will be there on time. As they say, "to play the game you have to know how to play the game." Though if for some reason I cannot hand in my article by the due date (which will not happen commonly, if ever), I will give early notice to Viral. I will make sure the wiki and it's progress does not suffer due to my personal issues. Mature I will be able to face any problems maturely and sensibly. If there is ever any problem with me, I will fully cooperate. I will listen to anything that is told to me and act professionally throughout the wiki. For me maturity is not just age, maturity is how you cope with things, what you choose to do in different situations. I don't promise to be an angel and make the right decisions all the time, but I do promise to try my best in different situations. Knowledable Even though the wikis I have worked on previously are not the ones that require the most detail, I do know how to manage a wiki effectively. I can use my previous skills, both technology wise and language wise, to make my articles a success. I believe that quality is an important factor of an article because you could write thousands of words and only a 100 of those words are actually relevant thus I'll make sure every single thing I type is relevant and up to the optimum quality. To write a quality article, you need knowledge on it. Hardworking Don't expect me to slack on my work or hand in something half completed. Any articles or tasks given to me will be handed in to the best of my ability and potential. The most important thing is not always having a perfect article. Quality is extremely important, creating an article that the reader can read is extremely important, tying your best is also important. If I get accepted, there will be articles I may not have enough knowledge about but that does not mean I will hand in a rubbish article. I'll do my research and try my best and if it isn't enough I know I tried my best. The Instinct Recruitment thread is an example of something I have wrote in a formal context. Usually, a majority of my posts on HF are written on my mobile phone. That is why most of my threads are in note format and informal. My posts are much more formal though, as I'm stating an opinion. Really it matters on how many people will see it and who I'm talking to and what about, that determines how I write. I really improved my writing skills and understanding of the English language over the past few years. If you were to look on Steam Profiles or a game I am no longer active on for the past few years, I'd be quite embarrassed. My understanding the English language was not enough; I did not have many grammatical errors or spelling mistakes but my context was informal and my language was weak. I believe my use of language is definitely improving. However, I'd like to take this chance to improve my understanding of the English language even further by grasping this opportunity with both hands. This is a recruitment I have waited for. This is one of the only groups I'd apply to because I truly believe it's one of the only groups where I can give my knowledge, and take knowledge as well. For me, a group isn't just an application then a userbar. It's a commitment, a promise, to fulfil the requirements and do my part. My article is on the HC's Market and Economy Code The HackerCraft economy is also referred to as 'EM' which stands for eco money. There are various things you can do with EM, however, there are only two ways to get it; firstly, you could purchase it from the HackerCraft Store or you could gain EM by selling items in the market. The economy is managed using the economy system inside Essentials. NOTE: I realise how you might think some words are spelt wrong such as "realise", it's a correct spelling and I spell it with an 's' because I'm British.
