Requirements- Must be Ub3r
- Must have 100+ prestige
- Must not have any warning level
- No spam or LQ (low quality) posts
- Must have excellent grammar
If you are posting an application you must meet the requirements. Those who do not meet the requirements will be denied. Please don't PM the leaders about your application. You may ask questions only if they don't pertain to your acceptance.
The only true requirement is the Ub3r. Everything else is more or less guidelines that I say are requirements.
What does the Wiki team do?
The HF Wiki Team is a group of members that work as a team to create and manage the official HF Wiki to help new users and even existing users to better understand HackForums and how we work as a community. We will publish exclusive content from time to time along with news pertaining to HackForums. The Wiki team also assists with the Help Docs on HackForums.
Userbar
Leaders/Important Roles.
Viral Dragon - Head leader.
Ethereal - Co-Leader.
Writers
These members will work as a team to create pages and write the content that will be posted on the official wiki.
Important Notes- If you have any questions in regards to recruitment or the Wiki Team you may PM Ethereal or Myself.
- Those accepted will be contacted once recruitment is over.
- Applications are the only thing that should be posted in this thread.
- Questions can be PMed to Ethereal or myself.
Application Code
Code What, if any, wiki's have you worked on?
Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team?
And finally you are required to write a short example article you think would go in the HF Wiki.
Code Example Article Written here in code.
Update:
To ALL applicants and NON applicants. I am re-opening this thread and allowing recruitment to
continue onward. I'm hoping to find at least 1-2 more people from this recruitment. One person
has made it through and I have my eye on one more person. If you have already applied and wish
to reapply, feel free. If you do reapply then you MUST re-post the application.
However things I look for mostly:
-> Grammar, Spelling and in general usage of the English syntax.
-> Formatting.
-> Accuracy.
-> Formality (1st, 2nd, and 3rd person writing)
-> Article style
Among other things. I don't want people really knowing the full on criteria I use to judge applicants.

Please don't apply just for the userbar. I see what the Wiki Writ3rs do and it isn't easy. If accepted you'll need to do work-- don't think anything less. Nevertheless, good luck to anyone that applies.
Well, we will see who has and doesn't have what it takes to be a Writ3r. Good luck, y'all

I'd love to apply! I honestly don't think I'm the best writer but who knows! Good luck to all.
I had the last application post on the old thread. I'm not sure if I should repost here or if I was denied. Should I just repost it?

- Age:
- I'm currently 17 years old.
- Time Zone:
- Do you have any experience with MediaWiki or any other wiki software?
- I don't have any experience with any wiki software, but I'm able and willing to learn any new skills required.
- What, if any, wikis have you worked on?
- I've never worked on a wiki before, and I understand that will probably significantly diminish my chances of being accepted into the wiki team, but as I said, I'm happy to learn any new skills required, and hopefully my writing skills are the main requirement of joining the team.
- Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team?
- I enjoy writing, and I have enough spare time for the wiki team to not seriously dent my social life, so I feel as though this endeavour could only aid in my knowledge of HackForums and the skillset required when writing. I enjoy writing because it allows me to convey my thoughts, opinions or knowledge to others in a medium that doesn't require any artistic talent. I want to join the wiki team specifically because I feel as though it would not only benefit the community present on this site, but would also give me something enjoyable to work on in my spare time.
- How willing are you to work together as a team?
- I'm happy to work with a team as long as the members are willing to be polite and reasonable. I'm happy to communicate with others and complete group tasks, and aid them in whatever is required. I get on well with most people and am generally easy to talk to and non-judgemental if people have issues or need something sorted out.
- Do you procrastinate often in your schoolwork? Be honest.
- I don't procrastinate in my schoolwork at all, I would rather have the work at a rough draft stage early on, and be able to tweak it up until the deadline, or until it satisfies my expectations and personal quality control. I used to procrastinate often when it came to homework, but after having to pull several all-night homework marathons, I no longer leave it to the last minute.
Thanks for considering my application, and good luck to all other applicants. The Writ3rs group is definitely where you want to be if you want to aid the site in your own small way.
Code Thomas Leo Clancy Jr, more commonly known as Tom Clancy, born on the 12th of April 1947, is a critically renowned author, who is best known for his book series that have had video-game adaptations created. Clancy is well known for writing novels with a military, particularly stealth or espionage, perspective to them. Clancy has received many distinctions and accolades, and was the author of the highest selling novel of the 1980s (Clear and Present Danger, 1989), as well as being one of only three authors during the 1990s to sell at least two million copies of a first printing novel. On top of these achievements, he has also been bestowed with many awards to commend his writing abilities.
Clancy married his current wife, Alexandra Marie Llewellyn, who worked as a freelance journalist, on June 26, 1999, five months after finalising the divorce from his first wife, whom he married in 1969. Clancy was a part of the initial investor team that purchased the Orioles baseball team. He also planned to purchase the Minnesota Vikings, but in 1998, the costs of divorcing his first wife drove him to abandon the endeavour.
To date, Clancy's EndWar, H.A.W.X., Ghost Recon Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six series have had video game adaptions, with the latest videogame in the Splinter Cell series to be released on the 20th of August, 2013 in the North America region, with later release dates for other regions. Clancy started his own video-game developing company which was bought by Ubisoft in 2000, known as Red Storm Entertainment. This company has led to the development of many of the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games, as well as the notable development of Far Cry 3 on both consoles and PC.
Clancy faced some controversy when he was noted as saying that the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the twin towers were, in his opinion, partly due to left-wing politicians in America "gutting" the Central Intelligence Agency's funding. Clancy, during this time also gave many contentious interviews due to the plots of one of his books, Debt of Honor, having a strong resemblance to the 9/11 attacks.

-Viral. No problem. Is there any topic you wish for me to focus on for the article, or anything encompassing a part of HF or its history?
Good luck to all recruits. I am one of the editors on the Wiki team and more than likely, I'm going to be the one helping Viral out with the applications, as he mentioned. Have fun with this everyone, and be ready to work if accepted ;D
