You know how when you visit a major site like facebook, or myspace, or google, or anything like that, and you accidentally leave out a letter or just barely misspell the URL, and you get redirected to a scam site or something like that? Well, many people do this, everyone does it actually, and millions of people go to paypal.com daily, well guess what... paypa.com is currently an unregistered domain name. If anyone were to purchase that domain, they could easily set up a fake paypal clone and phish the login info, or set up a java driveby of some kind, and they'd get thousands of targeted victims daily, all of them having a paypal account of some kind with money in it.
Just thought you guys would like to know.
It's like scamming? And discussion about phishing ain't allowed at HF. So please, close this shit.

paypa.com is already taken.
I'm too slow or...?

I'm not talking about how to phish, I'm simply stating that the site could be used for that, and having that domain available is incredibly dangerous for customers of paypal.

Coming from a person who scams LOL oh the irony
Also a good site like this is youube.com Its not exactly a scam either
No matter what, you're talking about causing harm to the legit people.
Of course I am, because it's probably going to happen if paypal doesn't do something about that open domain name.
Fake site -> Javadriveby -> Redirect to real site -> Win.
This isn't your idea..
PayPal.rs (Serbia) was registered, as any other domain. Some guy registered it pulled around 3k accounts from it and then ran away with it. Basicly Serbia is still banned from PP and I dont know what happened to the guy.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
I think it would be a really nasty thing to do to people, I mean how would you feel if someone tricked you and stole your money. I am just saying it's not really something I like to read about on this Forum.

Or you do a survey site like this
Youube.com

I never said it was my idea? I just now accidentally typed in paypa.com and realized the damage that a hacker could cause with that type of resource.

Exactly.
But if a hacker were to use Youube.com to phish logins, all he would get is stuff like youtube accounts and whatnot, whereas with paypa.com, you could potentially walk away with thousands upon thousands of dollars if you used it to steal login info.
medinjo, I got your PM, thanks for clarifying what you meant (:
LionHeartLow, just reading your comment has made me even more aware. You see? It's things like this that I joined the site for. It educates me in how some people think. I am so naive!

You don't really look for fraud around here or w/e.. This isn't a black hat forum and if your looking forward to things like these ( things that usually happen every fuckin' day on other forums ) then check out some black hat fraudulent ones ^^. They're always better if you want to learn some black hat shiz.

I apologize if I offended you in any way, I just want more people to be aware of things like this. I hate thieves that steal money like that too, I completely understand. I spent 4 years financially struggling because someone carded my mom's credit card, I understand completely.
Also, I have reported the potential danger to customers directly to paypal and I highly recommended that they purchase that site and redirect it to the verified paypal website, I do not support anyone who would use this exploit in any way to harm innocent people.
