There is nothing wrong with that, But i too learn better by reading code, but reading code does not involve adding it to your project, just read the code and get to know the understanding before copy and pasting, i also find rewriting the code up gives you a little in site of what it actually does, as most people just C&P and fail to read it.

I would suggest taking this little project as you could call it of yours to a newer level, change it about, add functions to it and make it stand out, that would be cool and would intrigue me to read as i am very interested in Login & Security of .NET Applications ;D

This is beyond simple atleast add a tiny bit of protection.
This is a pretty much fail HWID system. A user can login with another user's password.
