[Preview] HFC (HackForums Client) [Preview]

Got bored of working on YMD3 so decided to start something else to keep me from doing absolutely nothing.

This is called HFC (HackForums Client). Basically the idea is to cover EVERY feature of HF in a desktop application over HttpWebRequest/Response (no lame ass Webbrowser controls over here pal!). As of right now I have the following features done:

Code
Sign In
Get own details
Get avatar
Request lost password
Register account
Captcha support

I think next I will add in the handling of PM's (alert when new incoming/send/read/delete/clear folders/etc).

Just figured I'd show you guys since everyone gave such nice responses in my YMD3 thread.

Anyhow, heres some screen shots :)

It is going to be much more difficult than you think, due to authentication keys.
That is pretty nice I guess. Many of these are around though.
Just a heads up, this is going to need to be open source if you expect people to use it. No one is gonna enter a password into someone else's program in this community...
Not that i dont trust you, i'm sure you're trustworthy<3
Quite cool ;) If you add IRC support it would be awesome. Also with a auto command like /nick $hfuser. So you auto-logon ;)

Just decompile it and see if its good to go
How did you make those separators in the first picture?

I've already got it logging in, requesting password, and registering account. Not difficult at all. lol.

There are many clients written specifically for interacting with HackForums?

I might release the source at some point. Not going to force anyone to use this. Like most of the things I program in my spare time, it's pretty much for personal use. However, if anyone wants it in the future I'd be more than happy to share (just want to beef it up a bit). If people don't trust they can either decompile (I never bother obfuscating), or just not use it. Either or, no skin off my back.

Label component. Autosize = False. Text = "", Backcolor = ControlDark. Height = 1. Hope that helps :)

Well this is probably most likely going to be a web request app, for the security on HF won't allow a API xD

It is a webrequest app. I'm basically creating my own API for all features on HF.

Also going to be implementing an extended buddylist feature with some cool options in it. Basically I'm going to turn HF into it's own instant messaging system. :D Keep checking back for updates and you'll see what I'm talking sbout. I'm pretty sure this shits going to be absolute beast mode whenever I get it done.

This is pretty cool, I have earned respect for you through several of your threads. This is lookin pretty cool, and judging off of your other threads you should have a problem. :)

Much appreciated man :) If I wasn't so tired I'd add more to it right now. I think I'm gonna get a nap in and then get back to work. Next thing I'm implementing is PM's and then this buddylist feature I was talking about in a previous post. I think people are going to like this :)

Nice program but you better release the source, so people can trust it D:
