Here's a little guide letting you send prank flash messages to any iPhone you wish, and by exploiting
a certain bug in the iOS the receiver would never be able to know the real identity of the sender as
his number is not stored on the iPhone at all.

1. Add the following repo to your cydia sources:

2. Search for iPhoneDelivery, and install it.

3. After SpringBoards restarts, go to Settings -> Messages and set Delivery Report to FLASH and turn Character Count to ON.

4. Send a new SMS message, with an exclamation mark (!) in start and send it to whoever iPhone user you want.

Warning: You have a char limit of 160 chars, if you send a longer message the receiver will get it as a normal SMS message.

I think not because you have to send the message as an SMS.
I also have only an iPod touch, because I use a BlackBerry.

So I use my moms iPhone to prank my friends :)

With the iMessages in iOS 5 I think you will be able to, as it is a replica of the iPhone messages app.

It worked on every iPhone me and my friend tried.
It has nothing to do with your provider, it's just glitch
being exploited in the iOS.

Did you do everything like the tutorial says?
Changed both Delivery Report to Flash and Character Count to On?
Did you send the message with a ! at the beginning?

Yeah I did alll of that. The ! Doesn't even show up on the phone it gets sent to.

Try sending it to yourself :P it works for me (Iphone4)

I did. Idk what the problem is. I'm sending it with my default message app.

That is quite awesome if it works. I personally like to go in there applications folder and swap all the icons. BONUS POINTS: Go into the info.plist of the apps and change the name to pwned. The pranks will not show up until a respring or reboot, so if you want you can run "reboot" in the terminal to reboot their ios from a distance.
