[Guide] Being ddosed? Read this guide to stop that! [Guide]

Well as the title says i'm going to try to give you people some solutions to make sure the ddoses will stop.

Solution 1 : Install D-Guard program and follow the installation guide. You can download it by clicking HERE.
Note : this solution is a beta-version so it might stop some ddos attacks but it won't stop the big attacks like 1000 bots+ or something like that.

Solution 2 : Ask your ISP for a new dynamic/static ip. I don't know how this go with most of the people, but i have to call my ISP first to ask if they could change my dynamic/static IP. Sometimes unplugging your router for 30 seconds and plugging it back in changes your dynamic ip. So you can try this first.

Solution 3 : I found a thread made by Tuna which could work for some of you. All credits go to Tuna of course. Here it is : https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=1505730

Solution 4 : DDos protected VPS to work on. There are cheap VPSes. But most of them cost around 80-300$ depending on ddos protection level. Some examples : http://www.rivalhost.com/ddos-protected-vps.php, http://www.staminus.net/(just google anti-DDos Protected VPS)

Important :

- Always keep your firewall software and windows up-to-date. This is good for your protection.

- Never give your IP adress to anyone. Most of the time they can search your ip adress with programs so i also suggest you use a VPN or Proxy to surf on the internet or while gaming.

- If these things don't work for you i suggest you buy some real protection but this stuff is expensive. You would have to buy a real firewall (non-software) and more of that.

Well, i guess this is it. If you have any further questions or if you require any further help i would like to help you guys, PM me. But remember the real white hat helpers can help you more i think.
And sorry for my bad english but i'm Dutch so it is not that easy for me.

This Is pretty good! Does having an "Gaming Router" help? o.o
Well i don't know what the difference between a gaming router and normal router is, perhaps you get better gaming results and it makes your internet push everything to the game. But i don't think it makes a difference. This is just to improve performance.

A gaming router is designed for gaming obviously and yes they are labeled as gaming routers. Also a software firewall won't really help against a DDoS. You're going to want a router with a built in hardware firewall.

Yeh that's what I wrote. non-Software firewall. So yes Hardware. :D
Still thx for comment + I didn't even know a game router existed

Just a little tip if you are using a dynamic IP some routers will automatically renew one when connection is lost, So if you unplug your router for 30 seconds and plug it back you should automatically auto renew with a new dynamic.
