So on dA- you can see who downloaded one of your tags/graphics, But my question is, If someone downloaded one my tags and I uploaded that tag on tineye.com then will tineye find that image IF anyone else has posted it somewhere?

example-
some skid downloads my tag then uploads it on some random ass site claiming it as his. then I upload that tag on tineye and do a search- WILL tineye find where its been uploaded to so i can find who ripped it?

In order to get results in tineye the images must be posted more than once in different sites that are open to all of the internet users. Not like HF, for example, where you have to sign up in order to see what's posted in the threads. I dont think it is easy to find the ripper.

I honestly doubt it. As stefan said above, it has to be posted on different sites for Tineye to catch it.

yea but what about sites that are open to viewing, such as (eg)vfx or fringe? would it be able to find it then

Yeah but it has to be posted many times and in different sites. If you dont want to get ripped just add something like a small watermark with a very low opacity.

This would work under certain strict circumstances.
First of all the picture doesn't need to be posted on a great amount of sites, just one on which tineye search is sufficient. Just had to clear to up.
Now the real problem is the sites itself, as far as I know they have to profide sites like tineye access to their pictures so that tineye may scan them and see if it's the same picture. Sadly nearly all forums and image hosts don't give this kind of access, meaning tineye can't look for your picture there. Therefore even if your tag would be stolen by someone and used on a different forum the chances tineye would show you are very, very, low.
