It also was bugging me. Good luck with your sales. Edit. "No, I speak English since I was 3 is correct." That's wrong, it should be : "I've spoken English since I was 3 YEARS OLD" You see, 3 doesn't have to represent your age, and in university you wouldn't get away with that, I'm sure.
"nor do I see any myself" is also correct, seriously, cut the crap guys.
Seriously, you're wrong.
"I'm a native Spaniard and speak English since I was 3." The phrase "since I was" is in the past tense. However, "I'm a native Spaniard and speak English" is in the present. Switching tense in a sentence isn't a problem so long as you do it between separate phrases. In conclusion, we learn that you should say, "I'm a native Spaniard and I also speak English," or "I'm a native Spaniard, and I've spoken English since the age of three. " I won't nitpick, but using the numerical version of three is wrong as well. Also notice how the aforementioned sentence is worded differently. The reason for this is the repetition of "I" which is a common mistake for kids your age. Seriously if you guys are going to stir shit up I'm just going to report your posts. (Sep 18, 2011 03:34 AM)Zeon Wrote: 1) The repetition of "I" is not a grammar mistake at all. 1. You misused conduplicatio which happens to be a legitimate English mechanism. Therefore, such an error is seen as grammatically incorrect. 2. I'll just go ahead and leave this here; http://www.grammarbook.com/numbers/numbers.asp Next time you want to act like you know a subject it might be imperative to actually learn it. I also fail to see how we are trying to "stir shit up" as you so eloquently phrased it. Is it wrong to advise other users that such a service may be bad to purchase?
