A must have tool check this out A MAC ADDRESS CHANGER (hide your own mac address)

Technitium MAC Address Changer allows you to change (spoof) Media Access Control (MAC) Address of your Network Interface Card (NIC) instantly. It has a very simple user interface and provides ample information regarding each NIC in the machine. Every NIC has a MAC address hard coded in its circuit by the manufacturer. This hard coded MAC address is used by windows drivers to access Ethernet Network (LAN). This tool can set a new MAC address to your NIC, bypassing the original hard coded MAC address. Technitium MAC Address Changer is a must tool in every security professionals tool box.
Features

Works on Windows 10, 8 & 7 for both 32-bit and 64-bit.
Enhanced network configuration presets with IPv6 support allow you to quickly switch between network configurations.
Allows complete configuration of any network adapter.
Command line options with entire software functionality available. You can select a preset from specified preset file to apply directly.
Update network card vendors list feature allows you to download latest vendor data (OUI) from IEEE.org.

How Does It Work?

This software just writes a value into the windows registry. When the Network Adapter Device is enabled, windows searches for the registry value 'NetworkAddress' in the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1- 08002bE10318}\[ID of NIC e.g. 0001]. If a value is present, windows will use it as MAC address, if not, windows will use the hard coded manufacturer provided MAC address. Some Network Adapter drivers have this facility built-in. It can be found in the Advance settings tab in the Network Adapter's Device properties in Windows Device Manager.
How To Change MAC Address

Starting MAC address changer will list all available network adapters.
Select the adapter you want to change the MAC address. You will get the details of your selection below.
In the Information tab, find the Change MAC Address frame. Enter new MAC address in the field and click Change Now! button. You may even click Random MAC Address button to fill up a randomly selected MAC address from the vendor list available.
To restore the original MAC address of the network adapter, select the adapter, click Restore Original button in the Change MAC Address frame.

NOTE: This tool cannot change MAC address of Microsoft Network Bridge. Network Bridge will automatically use the original MAC address of the first NIC added into bridge with the first octet of MAC address set to 0x02.

.........................................................edit , .
thx man, didn't knew that mac adresses were so important ;o
police uses the mac adresses to find ya
Thanx man, downloading now🤝👍
Thanks, but seeing as it's an evaluation version, what are the restrictions on that? Or I guess that there may be a reg code for it somewhere...;)

Plus, maybe it's worth pointing out that in the image shown, the MAC address is not really valid, as far as this info on the author's site is concerned:

http://www.klcconsulting.net/smac/

Note: "00-00-00-00-00-00" is NOT a valid MAC address. Even though you spoofed your MAC address to "00-00-00-00-00-00,"
your network adapter will reject this MAC address, and your TRUE MAC address will remain.

Where they also say:

1

'You must assign MAC address according to the IANA Ethernet-number
assignment database.'

2

'Make sure you DO NOT use Multicast MAC addresses.'

The link that they
gave at their site was dead, so here are a couple of others:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libra...57928.aspx
http://www.rhyshaden.com/multicas.htm

I always prefer to get the software from the original site wherever possible, that's why I included that link to that info there.

Would be a very useful thing to have though imo.

AntiVirMan is perfectly right on his above post. You Media access control(MAC)address is not all 0's.

It just LOOKS LIKE your MAC is 00-00-00-00-00-00. Go onto a different computer on the same network, I guarantee that your MAC is not that.
No it doesnt show all as o's it gives you a new mac address, each time it is used.
hmm
lets try, downloading........

Thanks. I just posted the link to that site as I thought that this was worth mentioning, because maybe it's not a fact, known by everybody.

Maybe the 0's are just an example then, but good to hear that it's different every time!
Nice post. I would advice that even if you spoofed your mac address and the police somehow gets a warrant on your house to "Seize your PC" They will still look through your computer even if the Mac Address doesn't match up.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but a warrant is a warrant.

If they get the computer, it is over for you. If they come looking for you,
it's probably over anyways, even before they get you. lol
