Ao no Exorcist anime film to be created

Jump Square is announcing this Tuesday that a full cinematic feature length film will be created for the popular series Ao no Exorcist which is set to finish its first season on Sunday.

Along with the new film, Aniplex has announced that the anime series will be released in four dvd sets in October, January, April and July.

Ao no exorcist has been receiving a lot of attention lately with its well made story and engaging plot as well as characters. With Series one about to finish there is no better time to check out all the craze.

Petition for Japan’s underage pornographic laws to apply to manga/anime and games.

Last month two major national legislators of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party put forward a petition to make it so that all underage content shown in a sexual light would apply to manga, anime and games in the eyes of the law. Some legislators have been pushing this movement forward since 2008 but as of yet have not been successful.

Currently buying, selling or distributing underage pornography in Japan is illegal but possession of such material is not illegal at this time. The proposed revision to the law will essentially make it illegal to own, buy, sell or possess any underage sexual images in anime forum, manga, games or any other virtual obscene images/media. Further changes will be made to prosecute individuals who have such content on their computers or mobile phones.

Awesome post, especially looking forward to the Toaru Majutsu No Index film and maybe Ao no Exorcist (I have yet to watch the series, just waiting until the last episode gets subbed so I can watch it all at once.)

Already started on Fate/Zero and I'm a huge fan of the Higurashi series although I'm not too sure about Hunter X Hunter, if it's any good somebody let me know and I'll definitely follow it.

Petition for Japan’s underage pornographic laws to apply to manga/anime and games.

Now, I am surely hoping this doesn't happen.

Further changes will be made to prosecute individuals who have such content on their computers or mobile phones.

[Professor Pantsu]

Nice thread. I remember someone saying they were going to do something like this, but they never did. I believe it was FamousMassacre but nothing ever came from it. So, if I find any anime related news that I think I should share, should I just PM it to you, or should I still make a thread for it like I usually do?
