Hey I was just making a deface html page and then thought: "what if they could trace my through my photobucket?"
I mean if they could lets say, decrypt my source then see that one of the photos is linked to my photobucket, would they be able to get my ip from photobucket? I hope not. 🤨 Please help.

I highly doubt you even need to be worried about authorities.
What kind of sites do you hack into?
If they're not .edu or .gov sites, or some big website, you probably have nothing to worry about. Cops don't give a shit about some random site hacked.
However, you should always be using a VPN/proxy. Stay safe!

Well, I'd assume they could call up photobucket. Get the info, then track you down. So yes, they can find you.
Well, if you took the picture with your phone, they could extract the metadata and find out exactly where you live. Other then that, they still have ways of tracking you. But its unlikely thats why you always use multiple proxies and vpns

Decrypt your source? What?
Any dumb fuck can get your source just by saving your deface and opening it in notepad.

They could if they wanted to. The problem is that no one gives a shit. I can't imagine they have a budget that's very large for this low level stuff. That's not saying they won't but it is saying that you would really have to be somebody that's done major damage, they're building a serious case against or just straight up messed with someone with the funds to get someone to pursue it. Either way just take as many precautions as possible by vpn and such and you should be fine. Obviously you could take the extra steps and find other hosting and etc to lower your chances of getting caught.
OP, you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. Source of a HTML page? Yeah... they'll decrypt your HTML and then SQL inject your IP.

That's only possible if the picture was taken using a geo data enabled device, or the OP was stupid enough to take pictures of street signs.

How can you see the link if it's encrypted with Java?
No, and for fucks sake, don't use Photobucket, use some private server for the very least.
if you deface and they what they can get your ip withour decrypting or something like that :)

You should buy some cheap VPS hosting. Doing so has a lot of advantages. Just Google around and find one that suits your needs. 👍

I meant like a java encryption of an html code.

I'm broke :( Is there a nice free way I can host images without needing to be paranoid?
Maybe next time don't deface a website? I really don't see the reason for this.
