ps: i guess you use thumbs.db right ?
did you find a way to refresh the thumbnail file ?
some times, the preview in there, is not up to date, and that would be a very good feature
you the directory, refresh the thumbnails and see directly if there is interesting content or not, without using a lot of connection ;)

Nope, I make thumbnails on my own and send them over so it will always be up to date. And if you tick show thumbnails and refresh directory it will then show the thumbnails so you can choose when you want thumbs and when you dont :3

do you also do include some sort of cache system ?
i mean

1: open a folder with 500 pictures (or more)
2: generate a thumbnail send to the RAT
3: show the thumbnails (cool)
4: change directory
5: do other stuff
6: come back in directory of the first stepp
7: see the thumbnails without having to regenerate them, and without needing to redownload the thumbnail..

this could be done that way:

1: you save the thumbnail data (local or remote)
REMOTE: it is cleaner and easier, but this could be used by AV to say : your infected by clientmesh :(
LOCAL : more complicated, because you have to handle multiple files for multiple victims ... An easy way is to save it in a structure that has the victim computer-name/folders/subfolder/cache_file

2: when the user enter a directory, the server (who know the file list) store the most recent creation date. If it is the same as the cache .... simply open the cache
if it is different, generate the cache (it should of course contains the last creation date)

of course this could also be done with modification date.... i don't know what is the best to use

this way you save connection (only need to transfer the new thumbnails if needed)
and the remote victim, does not have his hard drive/CPU who begin to work all the time for nothing (suspecious)

The thumbnail system isn't cpu intensive at all, it just makes YOUR file browsing experience a little slower. However, I can implement a primitive cache system for now that doesn't check for modification dates, instead you can refresh your cache whenever you want or even turn cache off.

Folder surveilance (copies any new files added in the folder being watched to a folder that the user specifies)

Anyone else have problems when you try to get passwords or load a cam then the person just disconnects? Now I don't know if this is just the RAT not refreshing and they have already gone offline and when I try to do one of those actions it realises they have already DC'd or if it's those actions triggering the DC.

I realised this and fixed it. Problem is that the exceptions in sockets weren't being handled specifically enough so it thought it was a disconnection when it was just a slight corruption in data, but i've just fixed that :D Unless the client is physically closed or crashes and exits, it keeps the connection no matter what. Fix will be released with 4.0. Nearly done :D :D so excited!
