I enjoyed it.
I really liked the verbal interview with iNviZ and Riggs (with xerotic as the interviewer), they're funny guys it seems like, lol. As for the other interview my Innocence., a suggestion would be to not use a pre-made template -- Make smart little remarks about their previous answer(s). Hopefully the Music News gets in there soon. I enjoyed everything, saw the second comment before though as it has been posted in The Lounge. Good news, I enjoyed it. I personally think you should make a new one every week/month.

If I did it via Skype IM, I'd have to fill it all out, copy and paste his answers, and it'd be harder on me. Pre-made template makes it easier on me and everyone else. I think that I've seen some older HF News thread that have had remarks to the question above, not 100% sure though. Try and get permission to do it that way.
You could do it 1 of 2 ways: 1)Via PM, Skype, etc, and just compile it at the end <--- Referring to actually interviewing the person 2)Use same, pre-made template and modify the questions if needed after the interview is finished (Jan 5, 2012 03:45 PM)Cobalt+ Wrote: I think that is what I will do.
I'd remix everything every week, mix it up a lot.

Besides, I wouldn't really wanna send the interviewed person a template, once after edit the template more and add smart remarks. (Jan 5, 2012 05:27 PM)Insidious. Less than one month ago, first thread I checked. It would make the interviewers better and more interesting, in all honesty. Reporters and interviewers IRL don't follow templates. If you don't want to modify it, you can ask them individual questions then. (Jan 5, 2012 05:44 PM)Douchebag # 145 Wrote: So... adding one-two words make it better? I don't believe so. Actually, interviewers DO follow templates. When they interview someone, before the camera is rolling they plan everything out and write out what their going to say. Same with movies, TV shows, radio, everything. Everyone has loved having the interviews like it is. Though, your suggestion is quite good. I understand what you're saying. I might start doing audio reviews as well to make things interesting like xerotic did.

I've had some classes regarding interviews, and it seems that most interviewers improvise some questions in-between, based on the answer given. This will attract the reader in some kind of story. An 'active' interview, indeed via Skype or something similar is much more enjoyable for the reader than an interactive interview. Just a suggestion. I really enjoyed reading this week's edition. I agree that it would, but it'd take more time then it should to do it and set it all up. I'd have to turn all of my words and my interviewed persons words into the template with my having remarks, etc. Though, I think if I did an active conversation on Skype (voice), it'd also be a lot more interesting. |
