Even the HF Companys that rent dedi's or host off VPS's are normally the middlemen to support.

I beg to differ. When you rent a dedicated server anything except hardware failure is directly manageable by you. If you are a reseller you have to report it to whoever is in charge and then ignore your customers until they sort it out.

To an extent but not alot of people can afford to make that 250$ investment.

Very true. In my personal opinion i think people aiming to start a hosting company should be prepared to spend a little collateral, i make a point. I just dont think that people who dont want to invest money should instead become a reseller. Its too easy, the quality of the market suffers and people fail often when going down this road. Its true that the people will make profit but unless they are very good its usually profit at the cost of their customers.

Just my 2 cents, its all opinion based. ^^

I agree but this post is for someone who has little money to invest and wants to turn there little investment into something bigger.
