It's become apparent these past few weeks that a few sellers are using a method to their threads. It involves making a LQP and then deleting it to the thread.
Staff can see the activity of a thread. We see when this occurs. More and more it's becoming more of a problem.
Anyone using this method to their threads will get an LQP warning and have their threads closed. If this continues then more drastic action like rep fucks or bans will occur.
I hope I'm clear on this.

*on - You've made a spelling mistake Omni. Just thought I point that out to you.
Have a nice day bro.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
This should lessen it a bit for the people that did it excessive, forcing the others to do it too.
why don't you just remove the ability of UB3R's and L33ts being able to delete their posts
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Sometimes, instead of making a new LQP, they delete the last reply and repost it as new reply.
Also, is this rule limited to marketplace or other sections aswell?
Glad to see a thread made about this :). I think I know why ;). Thanks.
I haven't seen this done, but thanks for informing us Omni.
I appreciate it.

And I think that's exactly what's happening. It was never a problem up till about last month. Once the method gets known then it spreads like wildfire. Amazing the problems that pop up on this site. What was never an issue 3 months ago is now a real problem. Ugh. Just another day on HF.

That would be excessive. I think just letting sellers know they can't do this is enough.
And FYI if a non-thread starter is doing this maybe as a silent partner...that's gonna piss me off a lot and I'll ban the person making the post/delete s.

I think this all falls under our LQP posting etiquette guidelines for the entire forum but so far this issue has been limited to the Marketplace.
Quick question once you close the thread, are the sellers allowed to go make a new thread?
What if the posts aren't low in quality? I mean, I just deleted a bunch of posts I made for I did not want my post count to increase because of this section. Oftentimes I quote new posters on the thread, copy the previous post I made, and then post it. The older one gets deleted, of course. Is this against the rule?
Another quick question. What if it's not a LQP used to raise the thread, instead a HQP is made? Or, if we think it may be LQ, can we PM a mentor or staff member to see if the post is okay?
