Hello Ya'll, BIOS Password Lock... :(

Hello and thanks for taking the time out of your lives to help people like me everyone!

Well, as if my life isn't bad enough I get added more sh@# to my pile to make me wanna not be here any more...

Anyway,
I broke up with my girlfriend of 5 years (2 kids) and she took everything (don't they all?)
To top it off the bi#$@ took my new Toshiba Tecra r700 i3, and put a bios lock on it.

Anyway I'm screwed, I can't even get into my laptop (the only thing I have left besides some clothes or should I say "had left")

Anyway, I don't even know if I'm on the right forums, I just googled some stuff through out the morning and last night and ended up here after reading for hours coming up empty handed...

Things I have tried...
I tried to take the cmos battery out (it doesn't look like the old batteries that look like a watch battery) and I took the main battery out over night...
I turned it on in the morning hoping something worked and it didn't, it starts up and instantly goes to a password...
I took out the hard drive and started it up, still the same thing..

so now I don't know what to do... If someone can help me or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it very much so..

If I can't get this going, well... I'll just throw it into the rest of my sh#$ pile of a life and go from there..

Thanks in advance for any suggestion or help if you want to give it to me..

P.S
Sorry if I'm in the wrong place

P.P.S
She wanted to shove the dagger into me so deep that she didn't even take the laptop to sell it for 400, she simply put a lock onto it so when I went to start it up..well.. she knows how to get at me, lets just say that...
Are you comfortable taking it apart?,, there will be a jumper, or should be a jumper you will need to short me thinks,
would need to go check for sure, but most the new tosh laptops have cmos jumper on motherboard,, reset cmos,, resets your bios password

P.s sorry to hear what the bitch done to ya
This is the right place.
You already took out the cmos. I once heard it could take 12 hours to clear it, but I could be very very wrong about that.
When you do take out the cmos and the battery, hold the power button for 5 - 10 seconds, causing all power to drain out of your system
(you might have to do that when the battery is dead, not sure with laptops)

Hopefully this will work for you.

yup, take battery and AC out and internal battery, then hold power button for 5-10 secs also for static discharge your talking about..
As you already do the basic step, just try to remove or short the jumper in the board.

Basically what he said ;o
I''m sorry to hear about your wife.
I could not tell if the laptop was fixed or not, sometimes the Battery Discharge don't always work, but have tried this a while back on a laptop.

Try it: http://www.technibble.com/how-to-bypass-...-password/
Hello everyone!
Wow, fast replies! Thanks so much for all the suggestions! Thanks for the words of sympathy as well.. Yes, this is a rough time in my life, I guess we all have those times so I'm not the only one... :(

I am comfortable taking my laptop apart.. I actually have it apart as we speak... It is all apart, I even took the mother board out, unhooked/unplugged everything, ram, little cmos battery that doesn't look like a battery any more and is connected to the mother board with a wire (I remember they use to be watch batteries) and every single thing that plugs into the mother board (I have the board sitting in front of me (im surprised how small they are compared to my older laptop I use to have..)

It has been like this for a good 12 hours, so I am wondering if there is anything I should do while I have it already apart before I put it back together?..

I looked for a jumper but could not locate one... I know what they look like on desktop motherboards.. they are the things with normally 3 pins and a plastic piece you can take off that goes over top of the two out of 3 pins??

I tried to see what my bios is so I could maybe try backdoor passwords but I don't even get to see what bios it is when booting, it quickly shows a intel screen, checks for my usb, dvd devices ect and then instantly goes to the black screen asking me for a password...

Again, thanks for the help and I am going to read the links provided to see if I can fix this so I at least have something to do...
JUMPERS to disable the PW is a thing of the past, usually on older machines as i have done it myself. New systems don't use jumpers. Just use the link I sent you will completely eliminate the Boot PW.

Yes, Jumpers have 3 pins, sometimes 4, but older machines.
Thank you kindly!

I am reading the link as we speak...

Thanks so much and I will report back to you all...

Also I want to say I wish I had of known about this site long ago, it seems excellent, so much knowledge here, so friendly... 8 thumbs up from me!!! I will be a regular on this site from now on lurking around trying to intake all this knowledge..

<3
8 Thumbs? We have 2, well, add our big toes. LOL

No problem mate, take your time, take notes, etc... you will never forget it next time it happens. :-)
First step: Go make a DOX.
Second step: You better have some nudes!
Third step: Go to 4chan.org/b/ and post da shit!
Fourth step: Tell her you'll remove as soon as you get your shit back:-)
lol...

Ok, so I did the first step, no go.. "How to Bypass or Remove a BIOS Password by Removing the CMOS Battery:" as I already mentioned in a previous post that I tried to do it...

Now I am on this step... "How to Bypass or Remove a BIOS Password using Software:"
Ok, now I'm a little lost... I can not access my toshiba laptop at all, as soon as I hit the power button, it instantly goes to a black screen asking for a password... In these steps it is telling me to download !bios to use... how am I suppose to use !bios if the computer won't let me access it?

So now I'm afraid I am left with trying all these passwords and hoping one of them work? Would anyone know what bios is in the toshiba tecra r700 so I could possibly narrow it down to fewer passwords that I have to try?

so.. that is where I am at right now.. I'm confused with the second step they are talking about, not sure how to use that software if I can't access my computer..
Try:

Press following keys: ctrl, tab, ctrl, enter.

You may get a screen that will show a code on the screen that needs to be sent to toshiba service and they will give you contra key to unlock your notebook. Of course if they want to do that. Keep in mind that notebook must stay turned on, because on the next boot you will get new code.

(Having proof of purchase helps a lot in this situation - Usually they will help out if you do, if not it can be hit and miss if they do)

If that doesn't work on the laptop, you maybe able to contact them via support and explain that one of your children is into Computers and thus the outcome is this. But I guess only if you cannot provide proof of purchase.

But seeing as you have it disassembled, You could try:

1. Clip a jumper wire to ground on motherboard (usually find this around a chassis screw hole)
2. clip a paperclip to the other end of the jumper wire
3. Run the paper clip across all the pins on the eeprom chip. (just run it over any chip you suspect it may be)
4. Reasemble the Laptop

OK, what you'll need to do is, boot from a USB when you download the iBoot, put into USB, go from there?

Or, have you tried this?

I don't own a Toshiba, so I am just helping to spread links and info.
