Hackers use tools or newbie hackers ?

Hello everybody,for some time i am using Backtrack OS at my computer to get familiar with Linux and do some penetrating test.i managed to crack some wep/wpa
and wpa2 that had wps port open,sniff passwords and use some exploits.everything at friends wifi/pc.

My question as a wanna be hacker is : Hackers only use tools/programms?

I mean that if i know how to crack a wifi password with airodump/aireplay or with reaver i can call my self a "hacker" that knows how to crack wifi keys or as a newbie that can crack wifi keys with programms . if tools/programms is the easy way can some one tell me the hard way?

i have patience and i want to learn.I am already reading tons of pages at wiki to have the background knowledge of things

i know c/c++ and starting java after summer.i am waiting for some help

thanks,
You can't consider yourself a "hecker" if you don't know how to code.

Hackers use tools/programs made by themselves, although today, it doesn't have to be really created by themselves, as long as you know how it works, and if you're asked to code one, you can do it.

Cracking a WiFi key doesn't make you a bit of a hacker though. Finding exploits are. :)
Technically though, all the best hackers are individuals who look completely outside the box. Why spend three months trying to hack a computer if you can walk in and take it? Why spend 26 years trying to crack a hash, if the password is written in an old expired diary in the dumpster out the back? What's the point of trying to hack into an inpeneterable system if you can stick a $30 spy pen pointing at the keystrokes? Then you have Orwell's Terror , with the TV watching the whole thing. Tell your friends the technology for your TV to watch you exists and they will call you mad, but it does...except everyone now thinks Big Brother is a fucking reality TV show.

tnx for ur answear. 😠 I didnt called my self hacker i called me wanna be hacker.also as i said at my first post i know c and c++ and will go for java after summer.

What i got from ur answear is that: Hackers use tools/programms to make things easier/faster but they have the background knowledge of how the programm works.

So lets say i want to learn to hack wifi passwords
A hacker would know how wifi works and make a programm(like reaver) to use to hack it?

Exactly. :)
Skids use tools without understanding how they work.
Hackers are the opposite. :P
thanks i think i finally found my start point at the world of hacking

In my mind the two "Poles" of hacking are programming(depth) and tools(surface)

I think i will start learning from both of poles
by continuing writing programms at c++ untill i can master c++ and then learn a new prog-lang
and at the same time i will be using backtrack tools

Greetings from Greece and tnx for ur help
Hackers don't even need to know how to code, if there are easy ways to do hack something with tools you use them, plain and simple, it's like saying you're not a digger if you don't use a spade and use a tractor instead, using a tractor is far more easier with the big scoop to dig with, in situations where you are unable to fit the digger in an area, you use a spade, now take this what I said and apply -

Spade = Coding.
Tractor = Tools.

Like Ghost.13 mentioned; good hackers create exploits themselves, they know how things work and they like to experiment.

You can't consider one a hacker without the knowledge of coding, even just a basic language mate. :)

Hackers are originally programmers.
Do hackers really do drugs? I see the hackers in the movies like drugs
have a try on kali linux distro.
