It's a very simple library.
You can change the expiration of the paste, the content and title (obviously), the syntax highlighting, expiration and exposure. The only thing that you cannot do is login to your Pastebin account. Haven't gotten that far yet.
Tell me what everyone thinks!
Create a new instance:
Code Dim p As New Paste()
Set the following properties:
PasteContent
PasteTitle
SyntaxHighlighting
PasteExposure
PasteExpiration
Submit the paste:
varName.Submit()
Get the link:
varName.PasteLink
YOU MUST CALL SUBMIT BEFORE PasteLink!

Why not just release open source? You are not supposed to be reading this. Please do not continue reading and exit your browser immediately.

Because no one asked. Do you want the source?
Posting the source helps. I'd be interested in that more so than the DLL itself.

Should make the parameter options(notice optional) to specify the shit already, bad explanation:
Here is what I mean.
Code Dim P As New Paste(Content, Title)
'Or
Dim P As new Paste(Content, Title, Syntax)
Get it?

Yeah, would be nice.
Also, does it freeze the main thread if you use submit? I can imagine that it freezes a little on slow computers. Perhaps an event, like UploadComplete?
Anyways, this looks good as usual.
Whow soon you will see my program if im willing to do this :D but does this include like the Highlighting?
EDIT: ohh didn't see the other features sorry...

Updating it to include that. I was going to do that in the beginning but I just didn't really see a point.

I honestly doubt that it would freeze, it takes less than a second to upload. Your computer would have to be complete shit for it to freeze. It's extremely fast because it uses their API and not some random shit, lol.
If anyone runs into freezing then let me know and I'll make it multi-threaded of just add an event like you suggested.
I'm updating the library now so you can login to your account, list pastes from a user and some other things.
I don't mean freezing because their computer is shit, but what if you're on a dial up connection and you want to upload a paste? It'd freeze for a while :D

My connection is basically dial up, lol. I'm running < 1MB per second. 🤣

I have 25 mbit here, but when I'm on vacation I usually have like 6 kb/s download speed. It's absolute torture for me. I'm downloading movies, games, ... all the time and there I can't even check my email haha

That fucking sucks, at my house I have about the same speed. Usually around 20MB/sec. I'm at my step-dads right now and the DL speed is like 20kb/sec. 😑
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER

Lucky! I get like 600KB/s no matter what. I gotta convince my parents to move the modem into my room 😑
35MB/s DL and 6MB/s UL
Jealous?
I must haz 35 characterz what tis dis?
Making it multithreaded is a good idea regardless of your net's speed. What if you want to make a bunch of pastes at once? It'll freeze up the GUI thread.
Or you could just leave the multithreading up to the user. It doesn't really matter =P.
