that should do the trick.. but u can also buy a cheappy $10 laser from walmart, make sures it a green laser and use a magnifi glass..

OP - I'd say you need around 150-200mW to burn things effectively. I don't get why you would dish out $200-300 just to burn things when you could use a match.

OP, remember what you were taught in 3rd grade or whatever the fuck taught you ROYGBIV?

Lasers are different builds for each color.

ROYGBIV
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

Red lasers are very unstable, rather than green and blue lasers which are very stable.
If you want to start going into exotic Orange/Yellow colors, then those will actually reach you into the $1000's.

OP, there is a member here that goes by the name of RoyalLasers
He might of changed his name to RyanRenieis I think but just see if you can find him.

He makes very high quality lasers and sells them for cheaper than on laserpointerforums...LPF is known to take advantage of new people into the world of lasers.

Blue's will not start to get interesting until 400mW+
Green's that burn are very rare and are very expensive. a 1W green laser will cost up to $800.
Red lasers will get interesting at 200-300mW.

Blue lasers will always be more expensive than red lasers.
Red lasers will always be the cheapest laser

I'd like to post more information about lasers but it's 2:05am and I want to play CS:S.

If you want a cheap but nice working burning laser around 200mw I recommend buying this

That's the 5mw, you need to take out the insides, replace the laser module with this

If you're on a tight budget I recommend this otherwise you should just probably take a look at RoyalLase's quality builds
