Hi Guys!
I started a thread and someone told me to put it in C++, So I put it there, and then I figured I should put it here. Here is the OP, Please use that for start data.
I would have it moved, but PM system is down :(
Thanks!

well the card wiping thing would be rather hard since java can't work outside the java virtual machine :/ what i was thinking of was that u could maybe use a arduino to send encrypted values to a db or file or whatever and then decode these variables in a java program and load the "money" and other values such as prizes etc from that db :) this is just what i was thinking of :P

I like that idea, the very last post I made on that thread pretty much says that.
How would I do that? <3
Ive never done DB access in Java D:

basicly lets break it down into some steps :P

first of all u would have to use a external programming language or something that can send values to a database, i would recommend a arduino :) then u would use a library named JDBC to connect and read from mysql and display information based on the values from the database

You have to use MySQL for this, as it's a database. Do you know any PHP?

[Stryker™]

he does not need to know php for this ? he wants an application not a web form :P

I thought MySQL was mostly PHP, or is it not?

PHP is the most common language associated with MySQL.

MySQL isn't PHP.
