Yeah, I call them the simple tutorial series for a reason.
My #3 tutorial is out on Lighting Effects.
I always sort of wondered how people did these lines. Thanks man!

No problemo. Keep up the learning :) .

Yeah, I try not to talk about how to do all the steps too much otherwise there is too much text in the tutorial. If you have some basic questions to help you learn feel free to post them and I can answer.

Thank you, If I have some questions I will ask them to you.🙂
In case you're wondering, it's called a Horizontal Rule used to separate text or images. Thanks for the tutorial. 🙂

Ah, so that would be what <hr> tags stand for. Those lines are usually a solid color though.
I have some more tutorials out now for you guys to look at.
Am I the only one that can't see the white drop shadow?

EDIT: Had to turn it to normal! Derp.

Another thing is, how do you get that circle shadow under?

Use a basic round brush with 0% hardness.

Yeah I know that, but how do you get it to only shine under?

I added another layer to blend in, it looks the same though :)

I had to use "Outter glow" because for some reason now my brush's won't have hardness, it's like they're all on 100%.
If you want to get the shine only under then just erase the part of it on the top or use a layer mask.
