Hi guys,
In this thread I will be going over how to stay anonymous while on the Internet/while hacking.
SECTIONS:
1) Why is staying anonymous important?
2) How to stay anonymous at home
3) How to stay anonymous at school
4) Advanced section
SECTION 1 - Why is staying anonymous important?
Well, this should be fairly self explanatory but I will explain it anyway. Staying anonymous is important while on the Internet. It's a big place. The majority of people online are harmless, but there are people lurking in the shadows, waiting to exploit you and use you. It is important to stay away from these people. They could infect your computer with a virus, hack one of our accounts, steal your bank account number or even steal your identity. Those are the advanced hackers. They can stay anonymous, no one will ever know their true identity, and no one can ever prove they have done anything (except for xVisceral, he made a BIG mistake).
And then there are people who think they are pro hackers and they go online and brag about their "skill" and have the feds knocking on their door in minutes. All the time they spent bragging could have been time spent protecting themselves from such an event from occurring.
So to sum that up, STAYING ANONYMOUS WHILE ON THE INTERNET IS VERY IMPORTANT!
SECTION 2 - How to stay anonymous at home
This is probably the most important section for all you beginner hackers. You probably want to learn the ropes but don't want to get in trouble. While you are only new to this, and probably won't do anything had enough to get in trouble, the possibility is still there. There are a few steps you can take to avoid this:
1) Use web proxies.
Web proxies are the most basic part of staying anonymous. Basically what they do is make sites think you are somewhere you are not. I would recommend using a paid web proxy, as the free ones keep logs, which can be used as proof against you later on.
If you do need a free proxy, go to HideMyAss.com
They offer some good proxies, and most of them are high speed.
2) Use a VPN
VPN's are like proxies on steroids. They not only trick sites into thinking you are somewhere else, they trick your whole computer! They connect you to what is basically a tunnel which redirects all your traffic. Again, using a paid VPN is recommended as they usually don't keep logs. If you really need a free VPN I recommend:
• Bestcanadavpn
• Hideme.ru
3) Change your IP
Most routers have a setting which allows you to clone your MAC address and set it as your IP address. This allows you to hide your location and disguise it as.
4) Use anonymous web searches
Some sites offer anonymous web searches. This doesn't offer very good anonymity, but hey, it's better than nothing.
5) Ctrl+Shift+Delete
This amazing little shortcut can clear cookies and data, web history and autofill data incredibly quickly! It's great and takes almost no time to do.
SECTION 3 - Staying anonymous at school
I get asked this by a lot of people at school. People seem to be really desperate to do things they're not meant to (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Watch anime, Omegle and even Porn...). Since schools are usually pretty strict about these, there are only a few options.
1) Use anonymous web searches
I mentioned this in the previous topic, and while it isn't that great, it does provide some anonymity and most schools don't block sites that offer this service
2) Put Tor on a USB
Tor is a network which provides anonymity while on the Internet. Most schools will not allow you to download it and install it. So just download it onto a USB at home and run it when you get to school. Your school won't have a clue what you are doing online!
3) Use private browsing
Most browsers have a private browsing option. This opens up a session which doesn't save cookies, and can't be tracked in an administrator system. Its great because anyone can use it.
4) Double Desktop Switcher
Yup, everyone knows this one, but it does work! Download Double Desktop Switcher onto a USB and bring it to school. You can do whatever you want and when a teacher walks by just press the hotkey to change screens.
5) Use your mobile/iPod
Most schools think they are smart an monitor all the traffic on their computers. The reality is that they are dumb idiots as they don't monitor mobile traffic. I have downloaded torrents and done a whole bunch of stuff on my iPod and my school hadn't had a clue!
Section 4 - Advanced section
This section will be covering a few extras for people who are paranoid about staying anonymous while online.
1) Use public computers
Don't do hacking stuff from home. Go to an Internet cafe or the library. Bring all your stuff on a USB and run it from that.
2) Use Tor
I mentioned it before. Use it.
3) Use paid VPN's and Proxies
Paid ones don't keep logs, and are high speed. They provide anonymity and high speed browsing.
4) Don't give out personal information
Everyone should already know about this. Giving out personal information online is like telling a burglar your home address and alarm code. Don't do it. EVER.
5) Always use private browsing
It's worth it trust me. It does everything mentioned in section 3, plus most people don't even know it exists.
6) Combine methods
If you seriously want to stay safe while online, try this:
Go to a public place and use a public computer. Sign in with fake information. Connect to a paid VPN. Go online using private browsing. Then set up your browser so it used a paid web proxy. Open up Tor on your USB. Go to a site which offers anonymous web searching.
With all of that, your Internet will probably be so slow it's unbearable, but you will be anonymous!!!!
So guys, that's my guide on staying anonymous while online! It took quite a while to type up to I would appreciate if you posted a thanks in the thread. If this guide helped you, I'm glad, because I'm here to help!
Thanks for reading!
