The source was leaked a while back. Quite a few use it now.
The same trick works with any other method that takes user-supplied data without verifying it.

Also for custom source, you can simply use TD and edit the file name of your shell for those of you who don't know. It's a very simple exploit and can be done with TD on firefox.

For custom source you can just upload your shell. Though you can complicate it if you want.

If you can "bypass" it with tamper data, what check would there be? Unless, there's some javascript hack that nobody noticed because nobody allows javascript execution on random sites.

It's only what I heard, and I'm trying to give friendly advice. I know little to nothing about hacking websites seeing as that's not what I do. I'm always up to learn though. 🎉
