Synopsis

With his mother taken away from him and having lost everything, Lag Seeing is now a letter whose delivery has been assigned to Gauche Suede, a Letter Bee. Despite their troubling start, the two of them become friends; leading Lag to realize what his aim in life is - to deliver people's most important feelings in the form of letters, just as Gauche has done.

Intro

Well hello there fellow HF AA. I bring to you my review on an anime called "Tegami Bachi", "Letter Bee" in English. This anime was brought to my attention by a good friend, Jumbo. That was his old name, but i have no clue what his new username is called. Anyways i was a bit skeptical watching this and was frightened on what i would see. Thank god Jumbo told me to wait it out to about episode 4-5, I really loved this anime. Onto the review.

Story

The story in this anime is always something that will tug at your heart strings. Lag (the main in the story) is delivered as a "letter" to be sent to a far away place. The one who picks him up is none other than Gauche. Lag and Gauche start out on a bumpy road but eventually Lag realizes that he wants to deliver what people feel most in there hearts. Following Gauche's footsteps and becoming a Letter Bee. Now that being said it sounds quite boring but the adventures they go on, the feelings of the letters literally leap off the screen to you. I can't count how many times i have cried during this anime. Truly was a beautiful story, and it continues as this is only the first season.

Characters

I will say this, even though they introduce characters quite often you get to know all about them. There background, what they are thinking, what they want to do. Even if you only see these characters for an episode or two, they always give you what you need to know and are not left wondering why they were even in the series. The characters that are shown throughout the series and stay, you learn about them in various ways making the characters really easy to relate to.

Art

Every anime that i seem to watch always have some really nice artwork. The landscape looks beautiful, the character well drawn. Everything about the art is great, but nothing really stands out to me screaming "this is the best art". It's quite typical art and not horrid but instead flows with everything.

Enjoyment

Honestly, watching this anime really was a joy. I love anime that bring out emotions and make a manly man (such as myself) cry a little. Having said that, it brought out more than just tears. Not only was this anime a tear jerker but it was also a side splitter. With a couple of the characters and their personalities made the anime a humor to watch.

Overall

I would honestly suggest this to anyone, but at least give it to EP 4 and if you don't like it by then well, you can laugh at me. Anyways i really loved everything about this anime, nothing i really disliked. The ending is quite a shock so if anyone wants to watch a really awesome anime full of adventure and pleasure i would recommend this to you!

Great review, the only thing I would add to it would be your rating out of 10 for every category and an overall rating so people who are looking for a 10 won't end up watching a 7 which could be classified as good.

We tried that but we found that it was biased to ones opinion, so i decided with thought that i would take it out. 🤝

I personally find reading manga better than watching anime. I can actually do something during school since I get most of my work done during class. I just download the manga on my iPad with an app called 'Manga Rock 2'. Only $4 to download as much as you want.
Really cool app.

Damn, i wish they had something like that for playbooks..Well they do, it's free but the only problem is that its slow as hell X_X i mean i might as well torrent the whole manga and read on a pdf viewer? or something of that sort. If you run across something feel free to tell me!
