"P0sixninja says he’s discovered exploits for next jailbreak"

Quote:This is kind of interesting. Well-known iOS hacker and (former?) Chronic Dev Team member p0sixninja says that he has discovered enough exploits in iOS 6 to build a new jailbreak. The previous one, as most of you know, was recently shut down by Apple.

But it appears that p0sixninja has discovered some vulnerabilities that were not patched by the company’s security team in the latest iOS update, as he tweeted out earlier tonight:

Quote:Of course, it’s worth mentioning that p0sixninja hasn’t demonstrated that he has a working jailbreak yet. And if he has one, there’s no telling when or if he will release it. iOS 6.1.3 just came out, and the next expected big release is iOS 7, which is still several months away.

Planetbeing, of the evad3rs, has also stated that his team has iOS exploits in reserve. But obviously, with Apple’s history of patching them up once they’ve been shown, the smart move is to wait until iOS 7 is released to the public, which could be as late as October.

Still, between p0sixninja’s findings and the evad3rs’ work, the future for jailbreaking has never looked brighter. And that’s great news, considering how bleak things looked earlier this year. Until pod2g and team stepped up, we didn’t know if we’d ever see iOS 6 jailbroken.

Now it seems like, barring any major security advances by Apple, we’re set for the next few iOS releases.

Got it from iDownloadblog.

This is very exciting news and I hope to see Mr. Hill at it again. Perhaps he can change the way I view him.
Hopefully he just waits until iOS 7 so there is a jailbreak for it and Apple doesn't patch it.
Hopefully, iOS 7 actually brings significant changes to the operating system.
Only thing I dislike about p0six is that he keeps the jailbreak on display for quite a bit after it's fully complete, only to create an uproar.

Again, you're in here with no knowledge of developers whatsoever.

Joshua Hill only did that with Greenpois0n because geohot told him not to release the exploit early, so he forced geohot to code a quick exploit. He doesn't just "display it". It's called "testing for bugs", and "packaging" the jailbreak. Don't tell me that you know he doesn't do that or, it's already completed, because the "behind the scenes" are not revealed to anyone. Much less to some ignorant fool like yourself.

OH MY FUCKING GOD.
I'm going to ignore you, because you clearly don't give a fuck to learn the full story on greenpois0n, which was on display for too long.
I'm looking forward to more cool stuff in iOS 7, I love the 'Do not disturb' mode on iOS 6.
DnD is so overly unnecessary, though. -.-

Unnecessary? What the fuck are you talking about. It's one of the best features on iOS 6.

I use it often, when I want certain people to not disturb me without any tweaks.
