I was disappointed after reading some chapter that luffy can't eat fire fruit since he already have one.

But what about blackbeard? he didn't eat the fruit but he stole it.

When Blackbeard took the Gura Gura no Mi from Whitebeard's corpse via an unknown method, he claimed that, with the power of darkness that "reduces anything to nothingness" combined with the power of quakes which "brings destruction to all", he was truly invincible and the strongest. Also, in the anime Blackbeard claimed that the Yami Yami no Mi is the strongest power amongst Devil Fruits.

So it is still unknown as to how Blackbeard was able to eat 2 devil fruits.
But I think it's because of the Yami Yami no Mi fruit (darkness fruit), there might be some way to control the side effects since it can absorbs everything.

a. It was stated that your body fights itself if you eat two fruits and then you die, so it wouldn't be ineffective, it'd kill you. Prolly how Luffy will die in the end, unknowingly eating another fruit while stuffing his face.

b. Blackbeard mentioned that it was due to his special constitution that he could obtain multiple fruit powers. Think I heard someone else theorize that it's because he has a weird condition where he has multiple hearts or something.

I doubt Luffy will be able to have another fruit. Unless his rubber fruit makes an exception for him, we'll see.

it's an interesting chapter to watch, hopefully his rubber ability has an exception to get another fruit.

He already said he'd prefer for a friend to get it, and said he has no intention of eating it himself. Besides, it'd be an extremely unreasonable/dangerous move for him to even try. Really, the biggest question should be how in the world did Blackbeard know it was possible when all the scientists and other pirates didn't.

The only ones in his crew who would eat it, and still I doubt they would, are Nami and Ussop. (Ussop powerful? LOL)

Sanji and Zorro will never eat a devil's fruit as they want to be able to swim and are already powerful since they know how to use haki.

during the enies lobby arc where two of the world.gov cp9 personnel were getting devil fruit powers, it is explained that you can only have one fruit and if you try to eat a second your body will explodes the devil fight each other
