That's why I stay on here and a few other big ones, the owner of HF has years of experience and sitepoint, digital point and like two others have experience combined with management teams. SEO: No, they hire out 3rd parties to optimize your site and list on search engines Hosting: iPage, BlueHost, FatCow ect. Domain: NameCheap or you get it with your hosting. So shut the fuck up you little prick before you think you know everything.
You've been fairly harsh with this. Your sitting on people's hopes and dream's, who are you to question someone's dedication and knowledge? Your ignorance show your idiocy, as the saying goes "It's not what you know, it's who you know". I've seen people start off with shit all and achieve and maintain a quality forum.

Please link some of those forums, until then I will have to take it as this is some cruel april fools joke. Simple as that. I take that your whole thread is reflected upon your past experiences.

Good domains are not $1 and good SEO costs a large amount of money. Nothing is free. Your prices are 100x worse than OPs. Is this a joke, the owner had years of experience and was started in 2007. Omni was already a skilled webmaster when he started this site up, with experience in online communities. Not to mention internet forums where so much easier to get going back in 2007 as there where less of them and the people creating them knew what they where doing. Your point in invalid, please list another one. Any successful forums, that is still running had a experienced management team or a very experienced owner. So did Google, Twitter, Facebook, the internet itself... That doesn't mean it's a good idea for people to try and copy it...
I agree with point 2 and 3 mate
The person needs to be knowledgeable and he needs to be dedicated. For other points i don't agree Tbh you can go with third party services from other people like i do who can teach every aspect of forum management. Forum Theme, most of the people sell for 100-150$ and i do for 50-100$ Hosting is not 10$ per month until you are hosting big site. For SEO you don't have to buy it of course, you can always learn from people and free tutorials man. Check HF and you will see tons of quality tutorials starting from basics https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2830592 Thanks and i will suggest everyone to try having a forum for once but if you aren't dedicated then forums not for you, go with blogging.
