Homi's Keylogger Tutorial

I have seen many newbies asking these questions again and again, so i have decided to clear things up for you guys a little.
Note: Following short terms are used in this thread
FUD = Fully Undetectable on all Antiviruses
UD = Detected by a few Antiviruses
server.exe = Your keylogger file
AV= Anti-virus

How keylogger works?
Keylogger basically captures every key pressed, and saves it to a text file on your hardisk. Most keyloggers send this text file to your email adress or ftp account.
You can view this text file and search for username and password of facebook/yahoo/gmail etc
Every keylogger comes with a builder, this builder is used to generate server.exe.
In the builder, you select all your desired options, enter your email adress, password to receive the logs. After entering every required thing you generate or build server.exe this is the keylogger that you will use to infect other people :)

I want to save my server.exe as a server.jpeg, how can i do that?
You cannot do this, if you save your server.exe as server.jpeg it won't be executed. However you can spoof the extension, see these threads

How can i put Keylogger in a picture?
You cannot put a keylogger in a picture, you can however use a binder to bind keylogger with a picture. If you bind keylogger with a picture, you will get an exe file not a jpeg file. See this thread for more details

How to Un-Keylog myself?
First you need to remove the server.exe from startup, if you are using Windows then goto msconfig and then remove any suspicious file from startup list. Or install CCleaner and remove the keylogger from startup.
Then search for that exe on your hardisk and delete it, you might need to use taskmanager to end the process before you can delete it.

How can i save myself from keyloggers?
You can get free keyscramblers to protect yourself from keyloggers, Antiviruses also help but there are many keyloggers that can bypass all Antiviruses :)
I would recommend, checking your startup list everyday for any suspicious thing (use CCleaner)

Do you need to port forward with keyloggers or is that just for RAT's?
Port forwarding is just for RATs, keyloggers are very simple and do not need much effort in setting up.

Someone tried to hack me by sending his keylogger, can i hack him back?
Its possible, download and install Hex Editor (HxD), search for strings and you might find an email and password. But sometimes such strings are encrypted so its hard to find. You can also search for strings of an exe by opening the exe file in notepad.
Hint: After opening the server.exe in notepad or HxD, Press Ctrl+f and enter ".com" without quotes of course then click search or search next.

Do i need a Crypter for my keylogger?
If you have a FUD Keylogger then you will not need a crypter, because basic purpose of a crypter is to reduce detection rate of your keylogger or any such program.

I bought a FUD keylogger but after i change its icon it becomes detected
This is very common issue, try a private icon changer or try a different icon file. Free exe icon changer is a good tool and most of the times it does not increases detection rate of your keylogger or any such program.

Can i rename my server.exe to other extension which looks less suspicious?
There are many extensions that execute a program most commonly used are .scr and .com, you can rename your server.exe to anything.scr or myEmail.com and it will still be executed same way as .exe

Which is the best free keylogger?
In my opinion REFOG is the best free keylogger for local computer. It has many good features (google it) and works great the only problem is that it expires after 30 days. Adramax is also good and simple.
Free Keyloggers are not FUD, so in most cases you cannot use them to infect others. Use search button and you will also find many free good keyloggers on HF :)

I bought a FUD keylogger, but when i build server.exe my AV detects it
Most keyloggers either generate an exe or patch it, in both cases AV goes mad. This is common so don't worry about it. Before you build, disable your AV temporarily.
You can always scan your server.exe on elementscanner or razorscaner
to check if its FUD or not.

If my server.exe becomes detected, will i lose all my victims?
You will lose most of your victims, since about 80% people use AVs and the server.exe will be detected and deleted or stopped.

How can i re-FUD my server.exe without coding or spending money on crypter/binder?
There are many methods you can use to reduce detection rate, following are a few of them

• Use Hex Editor to change content of strings used in the server.exe
  
• Try changing the icon using resource hacker or other free tool
  
• Increase size of server.exe using file pumpers, you can find one for free very easily just google or search hf for it
  

Which is the best paid keylogger?
It depends on many factors, few are listed below

• FUD and how long it stays FUD
  
• Price/month or per 6 months
  
• Quality of support provided by the author
  
• Features
  
• Which language it was coded in?
  
• Does it has any dependencies?
  

How can i know if my keylogger is FUD or not?
You can scan your server.exe on elementscanner.net or razorscanner.com, you must register a free account on these websites to get a free daily scan.
Never use virustotal or novirusthanks to scan your keylogger because these shitty sites send your keylogger to Antivirus Labs and it goes from FUD to UD in a few days.

I have seen these features in many keyloggers, please describe them?
[x] Antis: Kills specific programs
[x] Stealers: Steal information like browser cookies, browser saved usernames/passwords etc
[x] Cookie Deletion: Removes cookies so the victim must re-enter the username/password
[x] Encryption: Your email/ftp info for keylogger is secured by encryption
[x] AV Site Blocker: Blocks specific sites from being opened
[x] USB Spread: Spreads your server.exe via usb (google autorun.inf method)
[x] Startup: Autostarts on system startup
[x] Taskmanager Killer: Blocks taskmanager from opening up
[x] Clipboard Logger: records anything you copy (Ctrl+c)
[x] Downloader: Downloads your desired program from a direct download link given to it
[x] Fake Error: shows an error message like "Access violation at adress 0x003B7EC" etc..
[x] Melt: server.exe deletes itself after a specific date or an event
[x] Screen Logger: Saves screenshots of the screen
[x] Infection Notify: Tells whether your target was infected or not (not sure about this)
[x] Icon Changer: Changes icon of desired file
[x] Auto Updater: builder/server.exe updates itself automatically.
[x] Web Panel: a web-based interface provided by the company that allows customers to access victims logs and similar stuff.

Where can I upload my Keylogger server to infect victims?
I personally use ge.tt, many other people use DirectXEX. It is a good practice to upload your server as a .rar or .zip so it does not get removed by the site (in case it gets detected).

Can I get in legal sort of trouble by keylogging?
You might but it depends on where you are living and what kind of cybercrime laws your country has. Most undeveloped countries and many developing countries have very less awareness about such tools (believe it or not)
But think twice before you try to infect someone, never infect a school system or some government official. Use VPN and make sure your ftp/email credentials are encrypted in the server.exe (ask the author or use HXD to find out).

I do not mean to insult anyone by this, always search your problem before making a thread about it.

If you are talking about coding it that way, then its possible to update.
Just make it download the new keylogger with new email save it to computer, add to startup and delete the old keylogger from startup.
When new keylogger runs, it should delete the older one :)
This is only possible if you are coding it yourself.
If not then i am afraid its not possible to do unless you have control over your victim's PC.
