[TUT] Mine LTCs with nVidia GPUs!

Hey guys. Many of you have nVidia GPUs, so I decided to make a guide on how to mine LTCs with nVidia GPUs and get a nice hashrate.

First of all, download cudaMiner from here.

Extract the files somewhere and create a new file called start.bat.
In that file, put the following text:

cudaminer.exe -o http://mahpool.com:8344 -O nvidia:1 -d 0 -i 1 -l auto

Edit "-o http://mahpool.com:8344" with your pool IP and port (example: "-o http://notroll.in:1337")

Edit "-O nvidia:1" with your worker name and password (example "-O myworker:mypassword")

Leave the rest of the text like it is and save.
You're done! Now you just have to open start.bat and you'll start mining.

Enjoy!
Boing.

Yep, I do! I've been in the cryptocurrency scene for a lot of time.

No problem, enjoy buddy!
Btw.. You forgot to include that they had to download the cudaMiner Toolkit :) that should solve the problem of the json_problems..
Wow!!! THX for this, it boosted my kh/s from 50 to 139!!

Greetings GiimpeN

cudaMiner toolkit? Are you talking about the cuda drivers? Those should be included with nVidia drivers.

Haha, no problem! Enjoy.
45 kh/s :( Dman it.. Running GTX 650.. :(
CUDAMiner is useful, but even more if you use appropriate flags. Auto-tuning works but adding more flags such as "-C 2 -D -i 0 -l 56x5" (no quotes) gave me an extra 20 kh/s or so. It does slow down your PC to a crawl, but if you're not using it anyway, why not?

On a slightly related topic, has anyone noticed that notroll.in has gone down?
I don't want to bother here.. But if u are thinking in mining with NVidia's... Good, ok, but if u want to "buy a hadware to mine GPU's please don't buy Nvidias..

NVidias are good for games, but not for mining.
Ati's Radeons are good GPU's to mine LTC (Atleast 7950's 7990 and 7970)

The best brands are:
MSI / Sapphire (Both cards came with voltage unlocked (You can do great configs, overclock the cards and undervolt/tweaking them to keep and save some Watts.. (I have seen 3 7950's MSI at 850Watts PSU) :)
and keep them from 620-650kh/s per card with good cfg's

Then other good cards are Gigabyte (Good with fans and cooling)

XFX are shit, get too hottest

Of course, buying nVidia cards to mine is just ridicolous.
But this guide is for those who want to get into mining without buying additional cards.
How long time would it take to mine 1 LTC?
I've got GeForce GTX 680

Go there, put the hashrate you're getting.. :)
What exactly is a "pool ip"???
Is it like the default gateway which can be found when typing "ipconfig" in CMD??

When mining litecoins with nvidia, you want to join a pool. "Pool IP" means the ip address for the pool you have signed up for. for beginners it's easier to just keep with the qualified domain name. Op used notroll.in as an example and they are a decent pool to start with.

Here's a good list of litecoin pools and their current hashrate distribution
