I don't know why my original thread was deleted so I'll remake this. Until May 31st this coupon is valid.
Purchase any available domain with any suffix and use the couponcode "DOLLARDOMAIN", without quotations. This will make your total $1.05. In Canada or the US you should not need a CC-enabled PayPal, although people from the UK may be requested for one.
For hosting, choose HostGator and use the couponcode "GOONMONTH", this takes $25 off of any webhosting package, making even the business hosting only $14.99 a month.
So all you have to do is go to netfirms, then buy a domain and enter the code DOLLARDOMAIN and its only 1.05? But what about that HostGator? Whats that all about?
Netfirms is very shitty though. The deal doesn't matter, everytime I try to access File manager I get a permissions problem.
Don't buy from them unless you plan on purchasing their 100$ hosting.

I believe they are talking about Domain names.
You can get a domain from NetFirms, and webhosting from Hostgator(or any other web host) and it will still work.
Just because you buy a domain from Netfirms, does not mean you are required to buy webhosting from them. Pretty much every domain sellers, allow you to change nameservers, so if you buy from Hostgator lets say, they will email you 2 name servers, simply add these to your domain's nameservers, wait around an hour, and its set.

Because it costs them next to nothing to actually register a domain, and they'll get their money after a year (when you begin paying $10 a year again). It's called an investment :P

Yes, use HostGator for hosting, NetFirms just for domain registration. It's hard to go wrong with a site offering Domain registration...

No, for the domain it's usually $10 a year. HOSTING is completely different that DOMAIN REGISTRATION, which yes, will be more expensive.

eh...I know website that sells $3 domains w/o coupon.
And $3.99 rate is for 1 CreditCard. You can't use coupon more than once.
