This is a pretty old project of mine, but shows you how to wrap arround a seperate process thread in this case a java process.
We can stream the input/output using the "RedirectStandardInput" and "RedirectStandardOutput" handlers.
Code ...
StartInfo.RedirectStandardInput = True
StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True
StartInfo.RedirectStandardError = True
...
And assign the event handlers
Code ...
AddHandler Process.OutputDataReceived, AddressOf OutputDataHandler
AddHandler Process.ErrorDataReceived, AddressOf ErrorDataReceived
AddHandler Process.Exited, AddressOf ProcessHasExited
...

You could totally make your own Minecraft Server Controller with this, such as giving remote commands or login and all those things.
Good luck and enjoy!
p.s. If your gonna use my code, you must give me credits for my work.

How? well i just did :) If you know your way arround vb then you know such things are possible.
OK, again, blowing my mind with the awesome ideas. I was using this method for something else the other day, it's impressive what are the possibilities.
Wat? "Starting minecraft server version 1.2.5"

Yep, that was "in that time" the current version i used, never took the time to "update" the server jar, why would i? doesnt matter if i use a new or old version of the jar anyway. This project was aimed to control the process thread of the server (Java VM) and to be able to send commands using the wrapper.
I am not sure if you are aware, but there is a bukkit Server Management Program written in the .Net Framework (Pretty Sure it is done in VB, I am not sure if they will continue with that though). Sounds somewhat similar. It's also Open Source... :)

I post my opinions, please try not to be offended... I am not saying I am superior, but my interpretation of what you are saying may be befuddling.
This looks pretty cool man, thanks for the release.

Thx ofc but does it matter? This project was made before bukkit had any .Net projects running.
And besides ive shared this for those that want to learn how-to.

Not commonly downloaded != virus. 😠 Chrome/Chromium is warning you that the link isn't commonly downloaded by the majority of users, and that it MAY contain malicious files. Not that it scanned it and found Malicious files. Nice feature to prevent skids from being rat-ed or something like that.
If you distrust, you can extract the zip (or scan it in temp files when you open the zip). If you really distrust OP's source you can: Delete the exe's and dll's in the directory's, then use a basic text editor to see if the source code seems clean.
Try not post that he included a virus without proof... I'd say the minimum being a scan from a online virus scanning service (for example Jotti) [Which still typically have a lot of false positives]...

Not trying to say that yours is bad. Just saying there is another open source program of a very similar variety. The BukkitGUI currently has more functionality, is primarily why I bring it up.
I hope by you "shared" it "for those that want to learn how-to", you mean you shared to help the community. In which I would say the source with the most functionality is technically superior, unless that is another application finds a better way of coding said task than the initial application.
Thanks for sharing you application, and trying to enlighten coders... I am out with the same goal, of (for at-least in this thread) providing links to similar content that may help improve a group of individual's coding skills.

Cmon man..this is just a warning that this is a not well known or statistically common downloaded file.... is just based on an MD5 check, and is not a detection.
