I want to close this thread as there isn't much need for it any longer but I can't as omni was the one to open it, I have messaged him about this and he should close it for me soon.

I've been getting into photography recently and I've been thinking this forum needs a photography section for people to discuss well you know cameras lenses and just photography and maybe as a sub section share some pictures you personally took.

NoteI won't be closing this thread if it should be closed a staff member or mentor etc should do it.

As a photographer, it's better to go on an actual photography forum since photography isn't that big on HF. Where photography threads get posted is fine, if you open up a photography section I have a feeling people with Iphones using instagram will post all over the section and essentially ruining it. Plus, not many photography-related threads get posted on a daily basis, the section would barely be active.

I'd support it now as I am a photographer, Although I did not support it then because I obviously was not here.

Rather than a section, I think we should add a few prefixes to this section:
Graphics

I was thinking photography, modeling, thread design, and web design.

An entire section is just too much, without really adding any vivid or good discussion, bur prefixes create the basic infrastructure needed for tutorials, works, and other things of this nature.

I agree with you, prefixes seem like a better choice than a completely new section.

I'm not a photographer but I absolutely admire peoples photographs. I think that would be a great addition to HackForums and maybe we could all learn from each other.

I have posted in a few threads from time to time, Minnesota Nice has posted a few good ones before.
I will actually finally have my Nikon D3100 up here in two days and will probably be posting pictures since the views here are amazing.

I support this mainly because next year I plan to get into photography as I'm starting to take a real interest in it. May even do a college course in it next year.

I agree, it will be a good addition to HF but as mentioned it should be strictly digital camera photography only, not instagram etc.

Yeah I couldn't agree more someone mentioned earlier that if the forum got full of people with phones posting instagram pictures it would be crap.
