There is no trick. Just create the account and make sure it's a premier account. You will be able to send and receive money without a card. There is absolutely no trick, go to fakenamegenerator and get a Canadian address to use for the account, it's really is simple as that.

Do Australian accounts work just like Canadian?

You don't even need a VPN, I've had a Canadian for almost half a year now and the shit works fine on my US ip. Never had any problems.

don't know but my AUSTRIAN paypal is working fine with funds less than a $ :)
If you intend to ear nearly or more than $100 then don't take risk & use amazon gift cards then have exchanges.
