Annoying Python Install Error

Hey there, I've recently been watching tutorials on python and it looked intresting so I wanted to install it, when I install the Python 2.7.5 Windows X86-64 Installer from Python.org I always get this error: An error occured during the installation of assembly'Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version=9.0.21022.8",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64",type="win32". Please refer to Help and Support for more information.

I also recently just re-installed a clean windows.

Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium
AMD Athlon II P340 Dual-Core Processor 2.20 GHz
3.00 GB RAM
64 BIT operating system

-I also have all my antivirus's turned off. Do you guys know where to find Python help and support page?

Repair your os with the inbuilt windows repair function.
Something may have gotten corrupted when you installed.

Also take a look at this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235342.aspx
Did you set it to wumbo?

Try a different version of Python. Or building it from source.
