You're only proving my point. We don't need the help of a smaller site no matter how dedicated it is to crypto currency. We are still the larger community and we've been adapting to coins for some time now.

The only speeding up bitcointalk MIGHT do is mining. That's it. If anything though that has the potential to lower the currency value in our own community.

So what is your idea? Thats what I am still curious about. Begining your plan based on HACKFORUMS is no better then bitcointalk. The name HACKFORUMS may scare alot of people off.

Without going into full details I believe some integrations of custom HF coin like OmniCoin could create value for our community. If it goes beyond that then great. That would be how I prefer to market. Hyping a currency around the web at random places won't give it value. Dogecoin might be the exception because of the power 4chan has to disseminate just about anything to the entire web.

More coins in circulation means LESS value. However it's the increased difficulty of mining that does create rarity for newcomers which can increase value. It's conceptually pretty new how BTC value has marketed itself. It's not traditional and it's very experimental. I am just as encourage to be just as experimental. What is there to lose?

That's part of it. The OmniCoin should be given it's highest value here. If you allow bitcointalk strangers to mine millions of them the first few months you're just taking away from this community. Do you believe bitcointalk members have any actual noble cause other than to mine every currency they can and hoarde while praying they gain value to someone? Is it fair that a crypto currency designed for this site (at least unofficially) would need to be purchased from people that don't even participate here?

And just to give you guys one radical adoption of the currency. Imagine to post in the marketplace any threads you would be required to pay in OMC. Maybe not a lot but enough so that you'll be forced to have a wallet eventually. Just that simple (not so simple to implement) idea could create tremendous immediate value to everyone in this community that's already doing business. Imagine also an OmniCoin award. Obviously it would be purchased. My guess is that we'd sell 200 of them in the first month. If they were priced correctly we could then adjust the value of Omnicoin by taking some of coins out of circulation. Another concept is accepting Omnicoin for the 3p1c group.

That's something I hadn't thought of. It would be spread out, and undoubtedly, people would hoard them, people would try and pump them, etc.

That would be absolutely fantastic, though something tells me that it'd be much more gradual. I do hope that it reaches this. I know I'd happily be using them for HF functions. Also, this would force it to be used as an actual currency instead of a commodity, like Bitcoin has become in some circles.
