My user folder disappeared, but I still can access the contents

If I try to go through my C drive, I cannot get to my documents because the only folder under it is Public. Does anyone know what the problem is? When I right click on things inside the folder I am looking for, the properties still says the path is the same.

I provided some images.

Can you provide us one or two screenshots of the problem ? Would help to see more clearly what the problem is.

If in the Windows Explorer path bar you type :

C:\Users\Marc

Are you able to get in the folder and see Desktop, Favorites, Documents, etc. ?
Also, go in your folder options, and uncheck "Hide system files and folders" and check "Show hidden files and folders" and see if it appears. It it does, it's because it has been labeled as a System folder, which is shouldn't.

Check in regedit where the profile's default location is:

Open regedit, browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

look at the string called "ProfileImagePath".... where does it say it should be?

I have 4 of them.

The last one shows my folder in C:\Users\Marc, but the others do not. Aura told me to reindex my computer, so I will post the results after.
If you can still access the content that would normally show. Try right clicking on one of the files and hit open file location. See where that takes you to.

I can get to everything through the Library feature on windows 7. It takes me right to the file, but I can't get there from the path.
Like I said, the indexation system might be broken. I told him to do a Rebuild in order to rebuild the indexation system. It will most likely fix the issue.
