Michael was born in the mid-to-late 1960s, possibly in the Midwest, which would explain why he spent some of his earlier criminal career in North Yankton. As a child, he didn't have the advantages his children have and grew up in the poor environment of a trailer park with his parents, where his father drank alcohol and physically abused him. Michael's father soon abandoned him and his mother. He was told an exaggerated amount of stories of why his father left, all of which include but aren't limited to, him skipping town, being hit by an oncoming train or even joining the navy. During his time in high school, Michael was an acclaimed quarterback for an all-state football team. Michael would often put on a well placed performance during games and also had his face in the local newspaper occasionally. However, due to his temperament issues and the constant stream of injures, he was ultimately forced to quit.
As a young adult, Michael eventually became a criminal. He did his first robbery in the outskirts of Carcer City in 1988, where he was able to steal $10,000 from a lesser known franchise. In the same year however, he was arrested twice for unknown reasons. While in prison, Michael was able to master many skills, sometimes through bizarre events, such as learning how to do tattoos by tattooing his name on his cellmate's buttocks. Despite his failures and shortcomings, Michael perfected his criminal skills to the point where he was one of the FIB's Most Wanted Criminals in America.
Later, Michael met his future wife Amanda at a strip joint in the same year - she was a stripper at the time. Using his criminal proceeds, Michael was even able to buy Amanda some breast implants, which would help with her stripping as well as her days as a hooker. This led to Michael creating his own prostitution racket. After Michael and Amanda fell in love and lust, Amanda became pregnant with their two children Jimmy and Tracey while living in a trailer park in the Midwest. A few months later, they were married. Michael, began to see that he had a lot more to lose if he was ever killed or imprisoned and started to keep to himself over time as a criminal - much to Trevor's annoyance. A few years later, Michael and Trevor began working with Brad Snider. Michael and Brad would never show any empathy for each other and would often express distaste or distrust when working together.
Franklin was born in South Los Santos in the year 1988. His parents consists of a father he's never met before and a mother who at some point in his young life became addicted to crack cocaine. As a child, Franklin often heard stories about how his father would physically abuse his mother on occasion, possibly causing her addiction to crack, and eventually leaving her once she was pregnant with Franklin, easily classifying him as a deadbeat father. His mother's addiction eventually led to her death.
Franklin then began to live with his grandmother and grandfather. This is where Franklin met Tonya Wiggins and JB Bradshaw. Despite being constantly spoiled by his grandmother, Franklin had decided to take on the role of a street-hustler. One of his first jobs were selling cigarettes along with his friend JB. The scheme was going quite successful up until Franklin's grandfather caught them in the act. In Tonya's words, his grandfather gave chase to both him and JB all around South Los Santos. His grandmother and grandfather later passed away at an unknown time. Franklin moved into a house on Forum Drive alongside his aunt Denise that was given to them by his late grandmother.
Franklin attended Davis High School along with Lamar Davis, Tanisha Jackson and Tonya Wiggins but was expelled due to him being involved in a brawl with his teacher. Around this time he began the life of a gang banger and dope dealer and started committing various crimes such as carjackings and bank robberies, one of which netted him and Lamar two thousand dollars, which was ruined by a dye pack going off on the notes. Franklin also worked for a local drug dealer named Marcus, Franklin later killed him. Franklin's life of petty crime was short lived however and he was eventually arrested in 2008. After he was released from prison he decided to give up his old life in the ghetto. A few months before the start of his story, Franklin moved beyond the role of ghetto-based street dealer when he began working for Armenian gangster Simeon Yetarian. Yetarian owns a car dealership which acts as a front for a loansharking and extortion business. Yetarian's dealership sells cars to people who can't afford them and when they default on the payments Franklin acts in the role of repossession man and repossesses the cars. As a result of this, he is frequently seen driving around Los Santos in many seized sports cars, prior to the mission Complications where he and Lamar are both fired.
Trevor was born and raised in Canada, near the Canada/United States border. In a conversation with Franklin while hanging out, he claims he "grew up in five states, two countries, fourteen different homes, eight fathers, three care homes, two correctional facilities, one beautiful, damaged flower of a mother" and has "served time, my country, your country and myself". Even as a child, he had a history of rage issues and violent impulses that ruined his attempts to fit into society (notably, it is implied that he, in a fit of rage, sodomized his hockey coach with a hockey stick). His father was abusive towards him, while his mother was overbearing and treated him with condescension. When he was a child, his father abandoned him in a shopping mall. He later burned down the mall in retaliation. Trevor also had a brother named Ryan, who died due to an unknown accident. Trevor reveals, that he dropped out of school. This is the possible reason, why he has a lack of some basic knowledges, such as location of the ancient Rome, which he thought to be a part of America. He also reveals, that he has problems with grammar and "improvising", when it comes to punctuation. It's possible, that he has had some formal education, as he mentions during police chases that he took a night class in criminal law. Later in his life, Trevor discovered that he had a talent for flying jets. He enlisted in the military to pilot fighter jets, but several days prior of completing his training, he was discharged due to his mental instability.
Grand Theft Auto Online brings a whole new meaning to open world games. You get to be involved in a world of thousands of people all trying to do the same thing, make some cash. The way you are introduced into the new world is very creative and gives you a background story. You could have come from anywhere in the world, but we all meet in Los Santos.
The start of the online world is a wonderful view coming over the Vinewood sign. You are then introduced to a streetrace and garage storage. Your plane flies over Los Santos heading for the Los Santos International Airport. Coming into the airport you go through security and walk outside. Your friend that you have been talking to on LifeInvader comes to pick you up. His name is Lamar. He shows you the world you are now going to make a new life in. After discussing and showing off the city, Lamar has set you up for a race to get a little cash in your pocket.
After your race you are requested to steal some drugs for Gerald, your new boss. After completing your second successful job, you need a new whip and a new style. Get yourself over to the clothing store and steal some poor suckers car. Once you have those items you are set on your new life in Los Santos.
Here is a tutorial video:
GTA Online is heavily centered on money. Your first car is free of charge to make your personal vehicle. To get a nice car you need to make cash and purchase the car from the high end car dealers. You are going to need a place to stay and you can only choose one of two options, sleep in the garage or in an apartment. Garages are cheaper and meant as a safe storage for new players. Garages can be purchased on the Dynasty8 website for $25,000 to $100,000. Once you start making bank you can move up in the world to a nice apartment. The cheaper apartments to hang with crew members as you do small time drug deals cost anywhere from $80,000 to $200,000. Once you rise in the ranks of GTA:O and you are making some serious cash, it is recommended to get an apartment upgrade. These apartments can cost anywhere from $205,000 to $400,000. Each one of the high end apartments are the same and come with an important planning room. In this room will be where you set up complex heists with your friends and crew.
Teamwork is encouraged throughout your time in Los Santos, but not required. You can get extra RP bonuses for just playing with friends. If you are a good sport, you get paid and bad sports get to be put together away from all of the nice users. The bad sport lobbies consist of the real criminals of Lost Santos. The ones who truly love to wreak havoc on the world. They are the ones you attack first and ask questions later.

The GTAV world of Los Santos is huge! With so many activities to do, you can spend weeks playing and still find new stuff. Now add even more stuff and mix it with your friends, and you got enough fun for months of gameplay. The things you can do in GTA: Online are completely left to the players imagination. They can now create their own job to play with friends or can even use ones other people have created. Here is a short article on some interesting things to do online.
Some of the many fun activities of Los Santos that Rockstar created have been brought into the Online universe.
Here is a list of all the activities in GTA: Online
The multiplayer only activities:
Free Mode
Deathmatch
Heists
Rally
Capture
Survival
Hold
Contend
Raid
Parachuting
Arm Wrestling
Both SP and MP avtivities:
Golf
Tennis
Races
Darts
Taxi Rides
Rampages
Property Management
Playing with friends
Strip Club
Robbing Stores
These are just the things Rockstar added to the game, yet you can do so much more!
A typical view of what goes on on the GTA: Online map.
There are thousands and thousands of GTA videos on Youtube all with creative new ideas to do with your friends. A well known channel called RoosterTeeth has been posting many “Things to do” videos on their channel. If you want to check out their playlist, click here!
A great way to connect to friends and show how badass you all are is to join or create a crew. Crew have a simple ranking system of Leaders, Commissioners, Lieutenants, Representatives, and Muscle. You can set the rank of all your members to leaders, or establish some order in the crew and build it on respect. For the leaders or commissioners, you get control over how to crew functions, looks, and presents itself.

GTA Online: Glitches, cheats, and hacks. Any current glitches will be posted on top as well as old history of glitches on the bottom. This is probably going to be most popular so I'm putting it closer to the OP.
This is the infamous glitching section of the GTA thread. Here you will find current glitches that work with the current patch of the game. If you have any new glitches to post, please post them and I will update this with those. All credits are to those who found these glitches.
Method![OLDER METHOD, but still works as of 1.11 (Click to View)]
Step by step method thats worked for me over 100 times
1. you must have the same garage/apartment in this video, with 9 cars, one of which you will duplicate and one open spot for the Karin Rebel
2. the door can only be blocked with Pegasus vehicles, I would use the Journey (camper) as it is the cheapest
3. load up solo session gta online
4. walk out of apartment, call Pegasus and go pick up the Journey with a stolen car, NOT one from your garage
5. bring the Journey back to the garage and stuff it against the left side of the door
6. while sitting in the Journey, buy the Karin Rebel
7. get out after the purchase and enter the garage
8. buy another Karin Rebel and replace the Karin Rebel that was just bought
9. get in your car that you want to sell and exit the garage
10. after exiting, you should spawn on the side of the road
11. before doing anything, call Mors Mutual and pay for your car
12. now drive your car to the nearest Los Santos Customs
13. before entering to sell your car, call the Mechanic and get him to bring the Rebel
14. now there should be two Car icons on the map, one for the Rebel that the Mechanic brought and another for the Journey, which should be still in front on the garage
15. enter Los Santos Customs, sell you car, exit, rinse & repeat!!

This section is all about the DLC Rockstar has created. All of the current DLC is free and required to play online. I am only posting about the major DLCs released since online came out. The other one out there is the Content Creator.
The first DLC released was the Beach Bum Pack. This DLC was released November 20, 2013 on the PS3 and November 29 on the Xbox360. The DLC was released with the 1.06 patch as well. The pack is based on beach related items including cars, clothing, weapons, and extra activities to do. Rockstar also introduced Social Club weekend with this DLC. Rockstar also gave out The Stimulus Package, which granted users who played in October $500,000 as an apology for the rocky start to the online universe.
The second major DLC was the Valentines Day Pack. This was released on February 14, 2014. The pack came with a new weapon, new clothing, a new vehicle, and 10 new jobs. The theme of this DLC was classic italian Mafia, similar to the popular game, Mafia 2. The clothing brought some new fresh looks to the game as well as a classic gangster feel. Mix that with the new filters on Snapmatic and you got yourself a black and white party. This DLC is no longer obtainable after March 1, 2014. You can read more about the Valentines Day DLC here.
The most recent DLC added to the collection is the Business Update. This update was added on March 4, 2014 along with the 1.11 patch. In this update players got more business clothing, two high end weapons, three high end cars, a private plane, and a bunch of new activities. On the weekend of March 8, Rockstar hosted another Social Club event. Players who played during this event with RP and GTA$ bonuses. This DLC was also found on the Xbox Game Store on March 3 and players could use the pack in single player mode. You can read more about the Business Update here.
Shark Cards are another “DLC” that have been in the game since GTA: Online release. They were removed from the GTA Game Store shortly after a release as there were many issues with Rockstar’s cloud servers and saving issues. They were brought back to the online scene in late November 2013 with the Stimulus Package. Users who paid for a Shark Card received that money along with their $500,000 in GTA$. Shark Cards are still a hot topic as people regularly complain about them and claim Rockstar is selling out for more money.

This section of the thread is designed for you, the GTA community of HackForums. Here we can come together and share fun moments, host lobbies, or just discuss our favorite things about GTA: Online. If you would like to post your Snapmatic photos, I will choose my top ten favorite, and post them here. If this becomes as active as I hope it does, we can host polls to see who has the best ones. I will constantly update this part of the thread more often than the others. Unless Rockstar decides to release DLC every week.

Isn't there already an everything GTA V thread? Not saying you shouldn't make another one because it's prolly a little outdated. But good luck getting all this info together. Will help if needed. GTA is my shit

I think that was SP only. This one will be mostly for GTA:O. If you can find that thread, can you link it? I'll add it to these.

You are always open to write for one of the sections. Just make sure you save links. Although I have the Cars section essentially done right now.

I think a thread only about GTA online could be cool. Afro's thread covers mostly single player but not all of online, nevertheless was a great thread.
