I'm going to start a seeding service, where I charge people per day to seed their torrents on multiple servers. I think this is allowed as I read nothing against it in the rules but just wanted to be sure.
Is this allowed? |

If it's legal torrents, it should be fine. Thanks, just waiting on an Admin or Mentor to answer before I open it up. (Mar 9, 2014 11:21 AM)wellager Wrote: No it's not. Yeah, here's the thread again. Accidentally removed it but its stated right in the terms Spoiler (Click to View)
Not allowed. The discussion of torrenting is a no. I assume the same would apply here.

People have seedbox threads all the time, selling and teaching how to use them. Where does it disallow the talk of torrenting? Found it, it disallows illegal movie torrents and movie watching sites, and as stated in the terms, illegal downloads are not allowed. It also doesn't completely disallow torrenting.
Perhaps rename it to "P2P seeding service".
Omni once stated that websites with misspellings such as an example of "www.mojan.com" (instead of Mojang) should be referred to as "misspelling potential domains" and have promotional values of "great potential attention by misspelling" rather than "Great phishing and scamming domain". Everything has good and bad intentions, and P2P is a way to spread files anonymously and differently; this does not at all imply or even suggest it has anything to do with torrenting files illegally.
I thought RCDA was right, but looking in to it myself, I couldn't really find a definite answer. The Help Docs are being changed remember, I'd just wait for Omni to hopefully see this.
