First off no more of this flat design stuff before you actually learn basic design principles such as typography, colors etc.. Your color scheme is absolutely horrible, cloud blue with white and some other blues.. Font is terrible too and shouldn't be used excessively maybe for titles only but it should be readable. (Also make sure your icons you use work with the rest of the layout style and color wise.)

Just practice making everything readable, consistent, and make sure the colors contrast well.

Fyi, the design you are referring to is done without drop shadows, embosses etc.. so it is "flat".

Take a look at your fellow brotherhood members thread for an example of "flat" design, I see you already saw it. . anyways..
