I'm somewhat busy at the moment. If there are any problems with the pool and it's very urgent, feel free to send me an e-mail at webmaster (a) doctor-blue.net.

Most of you seem to be looking for a mining pool, so here I am, answering your prayers (one more time).
Running the latest version of MPOS I'll offer all of you an opportunity to get the most out of this coin.
We give omnicoin the best wishes and support it to the fullest. Once another pool comes online we will start limiting the amount of registered users, to make sure they are spread evenly. With this, we hope to gain your trust, that we do not intend to abuse the coin in any way.

Want to be prepared for the omnicoin launch? Well that's what I'm here for!
Remember, if you stumble upon any issues in this tutorial, please take a look at the troubleshooting section before asking.
Preparing is simple, but it depends on your operating system and the hardware you intend to use for mining. I'll only cover the procedure for Windows, as I don't have any opportunity to try it out on a Mac but it's exactly the same once you get the miner installed.
The way I see it there are three good miners available:
Once you got hold of your miner of choice you'll need to join a pool. Now because this thread is mainly about my pool, my choice should be obvious. Go register on http://pool.omnicoin.cc.
Now that you have an account you should log in and go to "My Account" >> "My Workers" to set up your rig. The username and password you use here doesn't matter, it just has to be set so the pool can recognize your miner. Bear in mind, that if you create a worker with the name "example" and your username is "DoctorBlue" on the website the workers username will be "DoctorBlue.example".
Let's get back to the miner.
Open notepad and put the line corresponding to your miner.
CGMiner: cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.omnicoin.cc:3333 -O username.workername:password --scrypt
CUDAMiner: cudaminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.omnicoin.cc:3333 -O username.workername:password
CPUMiner: minerd.exe --url=stratum+tcp://pool.omnicoin.cc:3333 --userpass=username.workername:password
Save the file in the same directory as the miner. In the save dialog you will need to save it as the type "all files", after which you have to name it something ending in .bat.

Save it and doubleclick it, and now you should be mining.
If you're using cgminer or cudaminer you might need to tweak it a bit, as the defaults are trying not to load your graphics card too much so you can still use the computer.
Find your graphics card on this list and you can see which options people have had the best results with.

The way I see it there are three good miners available:
- CGMiner 3.7.2 - Download
It is important that you use version 3.7.2, as newer versions don't support GPU mining nor scrypt mining and those are the things you need. CGMiner is one of the best miners available for AMD GPU's, and AMD's hardware is generally better than NVIDIA when it comes to mining, so pick CGMiner if you use an ATI/AMD graphics card.
- CUDAMiner - Download
CUDAMiner is a fork of CGMiner which specializes in mining with CUDA cores. A CUDA core is the same as a stream processor or ALU, only NVIDIA has made it 'smarter' and capable of more complex things. This means there are fewer of them on each graphics card as they're naturally more expensive to produce and physically larger to fit on the die. This is one of the major reasons why AMD outperforms NVIDIA. Get CUDAMiner if you are using NVIDIA graphics.
- Pooler's CPUMiner - Download
If you don't have a graphics card (using onboard or integrated graphics instead) your only option is to mine with your CPU. It doesn't come close to the performance of the GPU miners listed above, but you can still participate and earn some omnicoins to play around with.
